I honestly appreciate the bar being lowered. What I enjoy about your videos is that they are not about featuring the best and biggest projects but about you being 100% committed no matter what you do!

I love this. Your style is like watching myself in some weird funhouse mirror it's so completely opposite of how I usually work. I have a friend the same way, and it's what I love about him. It's great to see the contrast and be reminded that the way I do things is definitely not the only or best way. Awesome work, love the videos, keep recording whatever weird stuff you like to build, I'll be back to keep watching.

Dude, if you're not planning to fully remove the nails from the boards, the quickest way to pull a pallet apart is with a sawzall, by cutting straight through the nails in between the boards. There's a plenty of bi-metal blades out there, that are specifically designed for cutting wood with nails.
@hultaelit Жыл бұрын
5:39 On the one project that is majority wood based, a small metal part still attempts to take an eye

In my humble opinion, it's the cheapest way to build. Look @ all that fun your having. Plus, if my husband were doing this, I'd be having just as much fun right there with him! P.S. I have a 12 week old puppy. I'm so glad to see yours acting exactly like mine: sometimes a pain in the butt! But a very ❤️ able pain!! 🐕

Cut the nails with a sawzall. the boards tend to split less that way. Awesome video. Great way to lower the bar! Thanks for sharing.

It’s not a janky 2x4 it’s a glue-lam beam 😀 good fun and better than burning pallets.

3:00 there is a pneumatic nail remover that seemed pretty cheap, last time I looked. It goes over the exposed end and punches the nail straight through the other side in a blink.

Good progress! Pallets are a lot of work, thats for sure.

You're beginning to make me look bad - last week, I declared pallets unfortunately unsuitable for building a deck. Mind you, the recycled puppet guys wanted $30 each. Tome to borrow a truck, weld up a pallet-destroyer and go driving! Inspirational as always, thank you

I like the idea of the reclaimed materials. When doing the siding, definitely make it look as presentable as possible. The burnt wood look, when done correctly, looks amazing on a building, and will make the wood last a lot longer. I'd recommend still tyvec the whole thing, and maybe a metal roof if you could. It would save you a lot of time. You'd have a very robust building. Good luck man!

Thank you for the awesome video~ I love the way your going about building this, Not just the slight jankey-ness of the reclaimed wood but the actually somewhat educational bits like charring the base wood to help with rot and The way you used the stays when lifting the walls Glad to see you having fun with the video ideas, Thank you for your hard work, Keep it up~ I hope your having a lovely day, Have a wonderful rest of your week, Be safe and Take care out there wherever you are (^=W=^)7 And you too fellow viewer~

A few more pallets and you could have done a triple laminate board, would still have the side/shear forces issue and buckling failure risks but a little less so. FB marketplace is sometimes a great source of reclaimed wood (but also can be a mess as some people tend to do FCFS and you can end up wasting time trying to get it).

Nah, man, that's not "janky material" Technically it's "engineered lumber" 😉 Back in the day, my dad and I did something like this but about half the size... it took MONTHS to reclaim enough lumber. So, you're doing great, man.

I have one of those, it's full. I still have no room. I need a larger house, or need to buy a proper warehouse to work in. I need to make some more money to afford either lol. The circle of life always. Cutting expenses helps only so much then its time to increase income. Happens all the time.
