On the side sheeting where it meets the roof I always bolt a 3x2 timber into the web of the beam and fix the sheeting to it then place the flashing over it. It gives the sheet great strength. Great job fare play.

Great video, one suggestion I would have is that when you do big projects like this you should split them into 15-25 min videos, not because everyone has short attention spans but because when people click out of a long video tk take a break KZbin assumes that the video is boring and Doesn’t recommend the video to as many people. Splitting up the project and maybe spacing the video releases a day apart and having people watch all 3-4 videos forces viewers to come back to the channel further boosting your analytics values and boosting views and recommendations. I know it sounds like a bit of waffle and I’m certainly not complaing as it was a fantastic video as all of yours are and I learned a lot just a bit of advice

When you did the line at the back to keep the top roof sheets right how did you keep the top of the sheet from getting away on ya what did you come of , and how do u get the first sheet square to start so it doesn't run of on you brilliant video your a great worker doing it all by yourself 💪👌
@connormcmahon3724
@connormcmahon3724 Жыл бұрын
@@kevinwalls19 the big part is to ensure the building is square and once you start your first sheet you will have a reference. When installing the sheets you can adjust them slightly on the lap edge if you are running off slightly. 👍🏼

Thanks Francis! A lot of hours! Using old steelwork was the worst for time consumption! I would say there was a couple of weeks work altogether in it. The assembly of the shed itself only took around 8 full days or so. Cheers 👍🏼

That was a really good watch. Really enjoyed it. Is there a pitch degree that shed manufacturers stick to? Solar panel companies seem to recommend a shed with a 15 degree angle
@connormcmahon3724
@connormcmahon3724 Жыл бұрын
It is a question I’ve asked but no, not necessarily. I am in the engineering field and it all depends on your snow loading. So if your roof is capable of carrying large snow load then it can literally be as flat as you like! If you put a slope on it it reduces the size of i-beam you need to use in your main structure. Glad you enjoyed, it was enjoyable to build!

@@connormcmahon3724 nice, I had a 1992, same colour and stripes, 6" lift, 35" tyres and a real nice set of bars all round. Had to sell it as got into financial difficulties. Sheeting down the side of the shed overhang is a good idea. Might do the same on the weanling shed if I get a chance. Good channel lad.
