I recently had to move to a smaller bedroom for my KZbin studio so I created a video wall as a background to make the most of the space.

The cost to build this was roughly $1200. $250 for each TV plus stands and the $500 splitter. Everything else I already had from my previous studio. Links are in description for all the products I used to build it and I shot this whole video in SLOG3 then graded with my set of Adventure LUTS: geni.us/BqN1X

I appreciate that you show the "iterations" one goes through to achieve a look for a set, and that "any room" can be transformed into a cinematic background . . . In college, I had a job working as a PA on commercial shoots, and I was amazed how set designers and cinematographers could take junk spaces and transform them.

Really interesting to see the lengths that you have gone to in order to make videos. I tried the TV idea a while back where I just used a screen with plants behind me and sat in front of the TV. Trouble was, I had to cut in close and sit pretty close to the floor! It looked ok. Just inconvenient. It’s quite a problem for most KZbinrs videoing from home. Finding a spare ‘blank wall’ to be able to use as a backdrop while still living in the house as well! Thank you for a really interesting video.

I like your setup. Like the video and blacked windows. Not knowing how you have all the electrical done, if you want to speed up the power up process, you use some power boxes (instead of power strips), able to have larger cable/wire for power surge so to speak with delays to turn power on. 10 second or so delay on each item to avoid large surge at one time. Two or three of these and with a couple hits of switches and your set. I have to say that I cannot tell you what to use. A little research will be needed or a friend that knows. Great setup though.

Hi Jeven Thanks for a great video. It's a great setup you have build and the video wall looks so great in your footage. I got into deep thinking how I can use your setup in my upcoming studio. We have sold our house to start a new chapter in our lives, so from July and a year ahead, we will explore Europe in our camper van. That's where your studio idea comes in. Because of the limit space and limited weight we cannot use tv screens but maybe there is a possibility of a projector of some kind. I will definitely go into thinking about your idea and see what is possible in my coming setup. Thanks for your inspiration and your always good videos. I can always count on quality when I use time on your stuff. Thanks for that 🙏 All the best to you and your family in your new location 🧡 Henriette, @Camplifedk in Denmark
