On AM4 platform when using 2 single rank modules memory will operate in dual channel mode, configured as single rank. When populating all 4 memory slots with single rank modules, memory will still operate in dual channel mode but it will be configured as dual rank. When using 2 dual rank sticks memory will work in dual channel mode, configured in dual rank. I'm sorry it's been a while, what's your point? Btw as far as I know AM4 5000 series only support up to dual rank.

Can you enable the XMP profile of your RAMs correctly?

Mine went at 3600 by default, you might need to go to BIOS XMP option (maybe profile 1) or install AMD's ryzen master.

Yes, search for gigabyte RGBFusion 2.0 and Aorus Engine.

OK I was just concerned cause I have the same mobo and had my ram in slots 1/3 and they were running at 2133mhz. Moved to 2/4 and now they run at the labeled 3200mhz. I assumed they'd run slower if all 4 were occupi3d

@@griegtan4881 Mine went straight 3600 MHz by default, but you can always change the XMP profile in BIOS or download the AMD ryzen master software for overclocking.

@@griegtan4881 Also If you go to 1:35 I explained the reason I picked 4 sticks instead of 2 without having any performance loss.

@@griegtan4881 For two sticks it's better go 2 and 4 for newer CPU, some older one goes with 1 and 3 for the shortest physical distance to CPU.

How did you fix the graphics card issue? The whole point of the build is to share these things.

Please watch the whole video. There was nothing to do with the graphic card. I was installing Ryzen 5 5600x onto B550M, a BIOS update using flash driver is mandatory.
