Much bigger, more rooms etc; perhaps this was ur initial idea of how u wanted the first cabin's finished look to be? Regardless, u do an amazing job, my friend builds houses , I let him see a few of ur vids. He said ur attention to detail with the important aspects of house building are spot-on. It's amazing to watch Cali running in circles in the snow, out of the snow, in the icy freezing water, and out again over and over all the while her tail is whipping at supersonic speed, she is so happing, and all by herself. She absolutely loves the cold climate wet or dry and the more the snow the better. What a little lady. She reminds me of my Labrador, Pepsi, on the worst day of my life when I had to have her put down. I never thought that day would ever come. Cali always reminds me of my Pepsi.

Shawn , I remember days way up north in Ontario, out on the water in canoes. For 55 years I have lived in mountains on the Equator far from birch trees, loons, moose, and the Laurentian shield. n addition to nostalgia, it is amazing to see you build a house from scratch and build fertil earth from what is available on your land.

@@russ6720 I'm down the road in Sturgeon. I camp lots just north of River Valley, and lots up the sultan road west of the water shed. I've not camped in a provincial park for about 40 years, only crown land I camp on, or my own acreage east of me in my off grid log cabin. Still tons of forest, Literally. its really not disappearing the way that comment makes it sound "the wilderness is gone except the provincial parks", far from true. PS, 55 years ago, Sudbury used to look like the moon, lots of growth since the stack was built.

I'm no expert at archery, but I taught it one summer at a Boy Scout Camp in Wisconsin. It was my first job out of the Army and I had applied to be the rifle range instructor. We used recurved bows like you're using. The Bows we had were sized for the Scouts and not me, a 6'3" (1.905 m) guy. You have to use one made for your size. The best advice I can give your daughter is to practice the draw, as you build up your muscle strength and muscle memory of it, it'll aid in the release and help you to stay steady in aiming it. At the start of the summer I couldn't hit the massive target we had from the distance we had set up. After a week of practice I knew exactly the aiming point and how much of a draw I had to do on the smaller bows. I could hit the bullseye every time I demonstrated archery for the Merit Badge I taught that summer.

It`s really taking shape now, I can see the vision coming together, wish I could come up and help you cut the boards for the roof. I am not a cabin builder for sure, but I did play a lot with the lincoln logs when I was a kid, I built all kinds of cabins, but they were only 10 inches by 10 inches. Good morning, Jimmy, watching you this morning do all these different things reminds me of the day when I was doing finish carpentry and doing side work in Beverly Hills. My journeyman who introduced me to some clients in Beverly Hills and did finish woodwork for them later, he would keep telling me to get a $5 helper, so I didn't have to stop what I was doing to have to go get that screwdriver or box of nails or set the ladder up on the other side and so on. Plus, you're doing camera work too! You flip from one thing to another, but people really don't know what you go through to get all of these things done and you're not in your 20's these days. Do all you can now while you still can. BRAVO Jimmy. Keep on Truck'n
