I’m sorry that the community took so much out of you. Im not sure if you’ll see this comment, but I wanted to thank you for making 5e interesting and special for me. I tend to like crunchier systems, but it was your videos that made me appreciate the ways creativity and imagination can be applied to characters. My D&D party don’t know it, but so much of my approach to NPCs comes from you, and every time they fight a warlock with eldritch blasts that come from their eyes or a multi-stage barbarian boss fight, or every time someone takes calligraphy proficiency, I’ll be thinking fondly of you.

Well, I always knew this day would come. Between the less frequent uploads and the fact that you've done many of the most popular characters in fiction. It would only be natural that this series would one day come to The End. While a bit more niche, the character creation potential is great!

There are other DnD Character Build channels, but Tulok was the best. Not just his sultry smooth voice and comedic flair, but his character builds were superb and really made the characters feel true to the character while still being fun and actually usuable in a DnD campaign. I think the earliest that my friends and I rough mathed it out to be was level 8-10 if it is a team setting and a single character could do it with the right 20th level build we didn't math out how early it could be done with a single character just that a level 20 can solo it in 3 rounds max.

@deancarruthers444 2 ай бұрын
@@VinceValentine That'd work if it had a way to do that, plus the thing also has the int of a rock, so lets say it did have a ranged attack for the sake of argument it'd make things more difficult yes but it also wouldn't think ahh yes target X thing hurting me over another thing that is far away, unless of course one thing hurt it a lot more than the other. Basically you're coming at it from the mindset of buffing/homebrewing with giving it a ranged attack my friends and I came at it from the mindset of "this is its stat sheet so this is what it can do." Plus if we really want to get into it all you really need to "kill" a tarrasque is a clay golem since they're immune to nonmagical damage and acid the tarrasque's attacks are nonmagical and if it tries to swallow it then the golem just kills it from the inside out.

When I first got into D&D, I tried to find a video of how to play Dante from DMC, and discovered this channel. In the years since, I’ve commissioned two videos. Nero from DMC5, and Alex Mercer from [Prototype]. They are still my top favorite builds, and I’ve got characters made around them and using them in the campaigns I DM. My kids loved your videos, and you actually made a couple of their favorites (my oldest LOVES Godzilla and was excited when he saw there was a build for him). As Dante once said, “It’s been a bash.” Thanks for everything Phil.

Thank you Tulok for all the hard work you’ve put in. When I first started college years ago, I started playing DND and it became a great pastime of mine. But once you started putting out these videos, it became a huge part of my life. I’ve learned a lot from just watching you build these characters for the last five years. They helped me figure out how the rules of the game work and how to design my own functioning original characters and even inspiring me into writing a few of my own homebrew systems. Even the characters I don’t know or have never seen before have such interesting quirks woven into them through your dedication. I was always excited to see your notifications pop up. I’m disheartened a bit to see the series end but not everything can last forever. I hope you take care of yourself and find something that actually does give you joy to put effort into. Good luck out there ✊🏽🖤

Thank you for teaching me how to build really fun characters for DnD. Some of my favorite builds and characters came from your channel, and when making new characters I keep your tips in mind always. Gl in your future!

Tulok, I've adored watching all your building character videos, but I also understand your decision. I am going to stay subscribed, because while I enjoyed your dnd content, I enjoyed it because you are legit funny and charming. I can't wait to support what comes next!

Thanks so much for all the builds. It's sad to hear how long you stuck around after you stopped loving it but for what it's worth I loved these so much. Glad you're doing something you prefer now, thanks for all the one-shot characters!

Just want to say thank you for how long you stuck with this. The videos have always been entertaining to watch just to see creativity for creativity’s sake, and they’ve helped me bring some of my weirder concepts to life after seeing how you went about builds here. Hope that your next projects are more enjoyable, and that even if these videos are over, you can still have fun with the game at a table of friends.

lets not be sad that it's over, but be happy that it exists. Thanks Phil for all the craziness... I'm currently playing your Tai Lung build and it's hilarious that most of the rest of the party hasn't picked up on it yet.

This channel was my true introduction to dungeons and dragons. Thank you, Tulok. What you made here was a massive inspiration for the way I approached dnd back then and still to this today I build upon the fundamentals you showed us. I haven't been very involved in dnd for a while now, despite running my own campaign, but every time I build a character I think of this series, even if it's subconsciously. All the running jokes like true strike and calligraphy, even if I didn't really get them from a community perspective, still stick with me. I'm sorry this show stopped being fun to make, it truly was special. I don't remember how well the goofier non-dnd videos did, like the Nickelback one, but I wouldn't mind seeing ones like that again. If they're fun to make, often times they'll be fun to watch. Just one more thing. Excellent mustache. I haven't seen you in over half a year so it surprised me. Looks pretty good.

I’ve watched Building Character through quarantine all the way up until now and as sad as I am to see this serious go, I’m glad that you recognize when you’ve stopped enjoying something and I’m excited to see your new content in the future. You’re enjoyment of your job is more important than what an algorithm decides :)
