"Comparison is the thief of joy" such a profound statement
@HugaHoodie953 жыл бұрын
i think it's based on a pre-romantic era poem by a poet called Edward Young. He wrote a poem called 'Night-Thoughts' with a line 'procrastination is the thief of time', which James Joyce made famous by quoting somewhere or other!

Yas! It's all about momentum! But there's one step in front of momentum and that is intention! Setting an intention for yourself as your going to bed the night before or right when you first wake up gives that momentum a direction to go. Something as simple as I choose to have a happy day. If you can avoid scrolling on your phone first thing in the morning that's best too. Our brains are still in a suggestive state and so it's important to be aware of what your subconscious mind is absorbing. Thanks for your content :)

Good video ( again). It's the one step at a time story and focusing on what you have done not what you haven't done.

Yessss! Start small even if you have to force yourself, just jump right into it without thinking too much to get the flow going. It works for me most of the time!

This was a perfect video to see as I’m starting off my morning right now. Great tips, I needed that reminder to avoid negatively comparing my less productive days to my highly productive days.

I love this. I try to keep in mind that every day is uniquely different and there are some days where I won't be able to do as much as other days. But instead of catastrophizing it and tearing myself down, I try to do what I can on the tough days. I also really loved what you said about building small wins at the beginning of the day. I'm working remotely right now, and I find that doing some household chores throughout my work day helps me feel more accomplished and I go back to my work way more focused. Thank you for this food for thought, and for all your videos!

This is all so true. Thank you for the reminder to build a good start so I can have a better day most of the time. Remembering that it's normal to have bad days and expect that is also very helpful. Thank you I needed this reminder.

Your videos have been really helpful to me! I can't afford the psychologist for behavioral therapy, so for now this means really a lot to me! Thank you!

This channel is the best ADHD information ever. I've been wanting to ask, because you are so good at explaining, simplifying and sharing the information. If you wanted to seriously take this to a bigger level, and be able to this to more individuals. You already have the coaching ADHD clients, which you could take to a even bigger audience. I live in United States and I live in the state of California. One 9f the most Beautiful State in the United States with Pacific Ocean to the West and both in Northern and Southern California Mountain areas. Beautiful 4 seasons with mild winters and mostly sunny skies. Anyway I seriously can't believe how much alike your shares and many understandings of your thoughts. It's like you are in my head or something. You are so spot on and your journey of learning about this and how you explain it out so right on. Have you ever considered taking this and reaching and helping more people ? You are a prefect example of someone that has researched this knowledge .

I just got admited to hospital because I was hurting myself and have been told I might have adhd (again). Help is on it way now i think I was on the waiting list years ago for adha but I meet somebody moved away and found a good job. Basically its like the penny drop for me .im pretty scared and overwhelmed with this and dont really know what to do. It is destroying my career and home life everything is a bit upside down. I'm sorry this might me hard to read but its hard for me to put stuff onto paper
