I still didn't catch exactly how you structure this... Do you go through each round 3-4?

And how often could you do this? Daily or every other day or 4x a wk?

My wife & I (both late 40s) used the 45/15 protocol for 16 sessions. This is one hell of a wo when you use a challenging weight! Sweat was dripping from the get go, heart rate was thumping and by the end we had what looked like steam coming out of our bodies! No nonsense, no time wasted (45 min ++ warm up/cool down), even the muscle heads (term of endearment) were asking what the wo was all about. Thanks Funk! Hitting up your "Train like an Athlete/Look like a Model" next.

enrique dueñez it’s going good. I have lost almost 10lbs but I feel more energized. At first I could not get through 5 minutes. Now I am starting to do more reps.
@mannymotta21745 жыл бұрын
I completed it in exactly 35 minutes using a 25lb db for the first round, the had to use a 20 for some exercises on the second and third rounds. Was tough

Takes forever to build up the reps to what Funk Roberts shows here. I started with a similar online training guy (but Funk is as good as they come) and could only manage 10 reps at first in 45 seconds but over a few weeks, I can now do 25 reps, i.e. the full 45 seconds. Also, it's about the diet too. Protein in the morning; protein snack four hours later and protein + veg/sald in the evening. Alternate with carbs on weigh days but cardo days, cut out the carbs. I did that and shed 10kg (22lbs) in a month. Most importantly, cut out the junk. [Caveat: Then I heard some not so good news related to work so ended up comfort eating and piled all my weight back on!]

This is his routine that's why he is doing so well, keep up the hard work guys you'll get there I can still go in the gym and run the young guys out of there,ONLY because it's the normal routine I do now if we switch and try to do someone else's routine it's going to be much harder... good luck

Bro. I'm also over 40 42', master trainer NASM. You know exactly what you are talking about. People are amazed @ what I can do in the gym but what they don't know is this style of training is why I can do all the other things. This way including isometrics is the best way to go. Keep doing your thing my man

I was looking for the flaws.. 🤔 Couldn’t find any.. Great workout !!! For exactly what you said. Building/maintaining muscle and burning fat..... I once met an older guy in the gym he was around 55 if I recall correctly. His workout routine was very similar to this... and I must say his physique was better that every other person in the gym, young and old. He explained how it worked and the benefits of it. Moderate to heavy weight, full body, constant movements, 30 minutes, 5 to 6 days a week. I’m 49... and now I’m thinking I will now be doing this routine.. Thanks 🙏🏽

Holy Cow! Awesome workout! Turning 57 in April, and with osteoarthritis in my left knee had some mobility problems rotating thru each exercise per set within the 15 sec rest period. Will try this again on Tuesday and I think perhaps maybe just knock out all 3 sets of each exercise (45 sec work, 15 sec rest) per round vice rotating. Thanks Funk....another great workout for us old dudes over 40.

Please clarify... What is your prescribed routine? Circuit Round 1 = Upper+2min+Lower+2min+Full+2min Circuit Round 2 = Upper+2min+Lower+2min+Full+2min Circuit Round 3 = Upper+2min+Lower+2min+Full Round 1 Upper Circuit = Exercise 1 / 15 sec rest Exercise 2 / 15 sec Exercise 3 / 15 sec Exercise 4 / 2 min rest Do we repeat the upper circuit or move to round 2 lower body? Round 2 Upper Circuit = Exercise 1 / 15 sec rest Exercise 2 / 15 sec Exercise 3 / 15 sec Exercise 4 / 2 min rest Round 3 Fullbody Circuit = Exercise 1 / 15 sec rest Exercise 2 / 15 sec Exercise 3 / 15 sec Exercise 4 / 2 min rest - 4 exercises per round/circuit - 35 or 45 sec per exercise? - Perform as many reps as you can. Drop weight if needed.

I am totally confused on the form of this. Do you perform 3 sets of the first group of 4 exercises, rest 2 minutes, then on to perform 3 sets of the next group of 4 exercises, etc.? Or, is it perform all 12 exercises one after the other for one complete set of all 3 groups consecutively, then rest 2 minutes and repeat? Can we get some clarification? Thanks much!
