Hi, A few comments on the house: - Ask your fundi's to drop the height of the verandah entry porch windows/ opening to round 450 mm to 600 mm from the floor or two courses of stone. This will allow the people sitting on the porch to see outside and it creates visual connectivity with the outdoor. You will be able to enjoy the landscape. Currently as it is, when you sit on a chair you can't see outside. - I will also recommend dropping the height of your dad's bedroom window, when he is relaxing in bed, he should be able to see the outside, it will also bring more lighting. The height of the first floor bedroom windows is good and his bedroom should have the same and also a wider window. -The kitchen rustic brick idea is a plus.
