@@lyleconway6795 Irrespective of whether you consider Jaime "management" or not, he is. Even a tight knit crew needs its leader/s and management. That Jaime & Erik are the Owners/Managers of this business and yet are also a valuable part of the "hands-on" working crew, is a credit and testimony to their awesome personalities and characters.!!!! BRAVO to the Perkins Bros and their mentor, their Dad. !!!!🇦🇺🤗💞🙏👍👌✌️👏👊🇺🇸

I'm a 33 yr old woman and have no business watching this channel, but I just discovered the Perkins Brothers and I have been binging ALL the videos. I love Erick's giggles behind the camera, I love Jamie's tenacity through his accident and his passion for stairs, I love Jason's philosophy on just having as much fun at work as possible, I love Jono and his stash of nuts always on his person, I love Arlo for being a National Treasure, and I love Rey for his quirky antics like not believing in sunscreen 😅. I hope I didn't forget anyone

I'm a 63 year old woman and probably have no business watching this channel, either. When I first found this channel, I, too binged just about every build they have done. I find it fascinating to learn how a whole house is built from start to finish. I've always loved architecture and learning how things are done. I think it's invaluable for anyone thinking about having a house built. Plus, the whole team is so real. Between Erik and Jaime, Ray and Jay, John O and Arlo, they all make a great team. Now I never miss an upload (episode?)

Hey gentleman, if you need the door to open more, you could pull off the brick mold and set the door flush with the interior and extension jamb out the outside loosing the brick mold and use your trim directly to the door looks like America. I have been meaning to tell you boys they make a piece that clips on the that siding nailer that you land on the top of the siding panel this sets where the nail goes so you never accidentally nail to low it's a game changer. I realize you all are super talented with the guns, but everyone slips and ruining a panel and having to pull it off suck and slows production. Another great video. I look forward to Perkins more than all my subscriptions. Stay safe and tell Jason to put his shoe on and get back to work. 😂

Pro-Tip: if you had shrunk your courses in between the windows at 14:07 by 1/16” for each course (5-7/16”, give or take) you would have landed even at the top of the windows, and your last course at the top would also be close to a full 5-1/2” course. This is likely why the existing courses you were measuring earlier varied.

In Sweden I guess we would put down a masonry foundation ~100-150mm up (4-6 inches) and then continue with tar paper and wood base.. You plaster the foundation and can then put the first row of paneling straight. It would also keep water out a bit better I suppose. Only negative is perhaps insulation but you could use isolated blocks too. Fun video as always.
