The people complaining about cutting down trees need to learn about active forest management. It's an important part of maintaining a healthy ecosystem. Active forest management is used in a lot of places to prevent wildfires for example. Nature will take over when a forest gets too dense to maintain the proper ecosystem. One man harvesting a relatively small amount of trees isn't going to disrupt the balance.
@nitro59555 жыл бұрын
And I am sure that the people complaining about the trees being cut down are in a house/apartment that was built from wood. Wood is a natural resource that can easily be used and replenished like you said.
@AlanXEverfrost5 жыл бұрын
@@nitro5955 As long as it does get replenished. As in, replanted and given time to grow, and the trees taken evenly rather than just in one small area leaving it more dificult to grow naturally. If used and harvested responsibly, wood can be a great resource. It's people that hear about "forest management" and use it as an excuse to do whatever they want that make it a problem. Or only understand a small part of it and conjure up a "scientific" theory that they rebuild their reality on, like those (only ever read it once) that think that air pollution by carbon dioxide isn't a problem because it's all food for trees, so people that worry about it are idiots. Like there doesn't exist a limit to what one tree can do.

We have more trees on this planet than we did 100 years ago. Know why California has wildfires all the time? Bad Forrest management. They have a huge amount of eucalyptus trees which was given to us by Australia back in the early 1900s...thing is eucalyptus is very easy to catch fire especially when they’re mature around 70-80 years. 2 biggest Forrest fires so far this year are California and Australia

The right face has pain from being cut with multiple kitchen knives. And the left lower leg was left with a disability that was burned by the gas burner. Except when I'm sleeping, I'm living in a living hell of intense pain. In that living hell of pain, I am creating fishing charms and woodwork art works using the world heritage Yakusugi and sacred trees. I watched your KZbin and was deeply moved. Because you are challenging yourself with a very difficult task by yourself. And you are always working hard to make your dreams come true. Your home build is amazing. When I look at your house building, I feel that you are creating a work of art called a house. When I saw you working hard, my heart warmed and I thought that I had to work harder. Nik, about minute 24:15, you see the point where you're trying to lean the lever against the first perpendicular truss by the edge of the wall, try using the following truss from the wall, the second one truss. That point will raise your end point in the lever and raise the trunk you're pulling up to the roof. If you haven't try it, or in the future, you or someone may use this technique, "to raise the pulling point by moving back (towards you", the leaning point of the lever, and the picked object will go right to the roof". The amount of carbon those particular trees could have filtered our if the atmosphere is far less than the amount of pollutants that would have been created by using concrete blocks, bricks and mortar! Log house building has a much lower net carbon footprint than most other construction methods. And you replace trees with fresh planting. You’re doing just fine!
@ashscott60684 жыл бұрын
They weren't baby trees anyway. Their days of storing carbon were all but over. Then it's back into the dirt, and they release that carbon back into the cycle in the form of the dreaded C02. If you build shit out of wood, that carbon stays locked up in the form of that shit. Meanwhile, new trees grow to replace them, locking up even MORE of the nasty, nasty, evil CO2. Greenies are over privileged little snots, who don't even understand the very thing they pretend to get all ragey about. And I say "pretend" cus every last one of them is play-acting. Take away their luxurious lives, and watch them suddenly decide they don't have time for LARPing as hippies at the weekend, anymore. Australia is reaping the rewards of pandering to eco-whiners, right now. "Wahhh! burning the bush releases evil CO2, which causes tsunamis!" so then they get their way, and the whole country burns perfectly naturally. A ton of wood used to build a house, is a shitload of CO2 that ain't going into the atmosphere any time soon. But you can't educated rich white people with dreadlocks. 'Cus, you know...they went backpacking in Peru on their gap-year, so they're just a little more spiritual than the rest of us.

Nik My wife and I sat here for hours enjoying watching you and your friends build your cabin and yes your Photography is fantastic too. I had commented to my wife that if the same guy (you) was doing the Photography and building the cabin he is one talented person. We live in the States and our Country is full of nay sayer’s that do little more than complain about everything they witness so never let them slow you down from your dreams. You are a man of accomplishments and no one can take that away from you. Always good luck.

The first time I saw someone else there I was like, “He’s lieing, he’s not doing it by himself.” Then I thought about it... he’s building a damn house.

@Eric Cartman this guy seems pretty knowable, he's probably doing some kind of treatment too the wood. Even if he doesn't it'll last a really long time.
@GlorifiedGremlin4 жыл бұрын
@Eric Cartman True but he may have, the logs used for the walls at least sat for months because he spent time chopping and processing them for a long time before ever building with them. Idk I have faith lol he just might not have shown his whole process.

@@GlorifiedGremlin That's what i'm thinking also. He probably didn't want to put every part of the process in the vids.

The two cabin build videos that I’ve seen by you are by far my favorite videos on KZbin. They are very relaxing and just awesome to watch. I sat and watched the 2 hour documentary and tbh I say it’s a better movie than IT chapter 2. lol keep up the hard work and push through. 🤘😁
