Just a tip if I may..notice when you push the nailer down then pull the trigger it sets the nail but when you hold the trigger and then slam the nailer down you need to set the nails with a hammer afterwards.

Only thing I'd point out is, when nailing your 2nd top plate, nail over the studs. This way, if you need to drill through later for electrical or anything else, you're not hitting nails in between studs.

I realize that this is too late for this project. Simpson Hangars guide will help with anchors and strapping. Garage doors are the number one reason to lose the roof. During a wind event the door blows in and off goes the roof.
