Amazing ! So much progress and I can feel how toasty cosy warm your home is going to be in the wintertime. That garage floor looks great! The soffits are perfect. Taupe is a classy neutral choice and the tones are vast from the palest softest hues to the deepest darkest earth tones, always looks natural and in any light or time of the year, as the seasons change the light changes, you can't go wrong with classic timeless neutrals they always look good especially in a setting like yours with the beautiful backdrop of your surrounding greenery. So many changes so many decisions what a great thing to have filmed it, you can all look back on this in years to come and be very proud indeed.

When you look at kitchen cabinets there are three things I strongly suggest; 1. Make all the lower cabinets drawers (I like one small top drawer and three equally sized ones below that (they are larger than the top). 2. Make the cabinets deeper, Lower at 30" and upper at 17" This gives you so much more cabinet space and counter space! The really big bowls will fit in the upper cabinets! 3. Make the pantry shelves pull out. Think of a bookcase that is hidden in the wall and you pull it out from the narrow end and then access it from the side. It is so much more efficient than a wall of shelves where things get lost in the back. The pull-out pantry makes it easy to access everything in the back because they are not as deep. I like how it keeps things looking neet and tidy as well as easy to access. You can also fit these into a space as narrow as a foot wide.
@MikeKincaid79 Жыл бұрын
I love that pantry idea. I'll have to talk to Shellie about it. So far, we've basically decided to do the pantry and closet on our own after the home is done so we have plenty of time to think about it. The cabinets are all measured and getting ordered now. We did go with a lot of pull out drawers but also cabinets. Part of it had to do with cost and we are trying to keep that down while pushing to get what we want. We'll see how it turns out in the end.

Mike and Shelley, you both have great instincts so pick a color you can agree on for the exterior of your home. Of course, Ally and Emily will probably also have some input into that decision, especially for their rooms. Good friends of mine let their daughter pick the exterior paint color for their house ... which was a 'knock your socks off BLUE' 🥶🧦 (that wasn't the actual name of the paint color), but it was awful. When they listed the house for sale a few years later, no one would even make an offer ...until they repainted it. If I were going to paint my house, I'd probably pick a muted shade of green, since green is my favorite color. Yes, definitely looking at those style of greens after all the recommendations. As far as diet, I’m fairly in tune with my body. I do a lot of intermittent fasting and weightlifting to maintain muscle. Over the years I’ve had to tone down the heavier weights but that’s a natural progression of getting older. I do what I can to maintain muscle but I do find it difficult to keep weight on oddly enough. Seems like most people get heavier with age. Believe it or not, I use to be 190 lbs and did squats and deadlifts with over 300 pounds. Now I’m around 157 and find it tough to maintain. I’m sure a lot of that comes from stomach issues but it is what it is. Anyway, I do my best. Thanks for being here.
