Although not bedridden, I have been in bed for awhile. Like you, I love watching videos like this. I love boating, sailing and the ocean. Hang tight everyone, our lives are about to get awesome. Our health is going to be healed with technology that has been shelved by the government. We all will be able to enjoy life instead of surviving. God speed to us all. 😇🌟🌟🌟

Great vid! I run 4 x 315w panels on a stainless arch out the back of my 45' Mono Ketch. They sit above my Davits, offering shade to my Tender and also a small storage space above my davits and below the panels. During a wet, overcast week my 8 x120a/h lithiums were getting around 5 - 7 amps and never dropped below 90%. On a sunny day they punch around 27 - 30 amps keeping the house bank up around 95 - 99%. We are easy on power usage. I can only imagine 3,000W of power, I guess other cruisers will want to plug into Parlay's floating power station!! Enjoy!

@@jimlofts5433 yer funny that. Solar is great but out in the elements - not the best. I commissioned the standard for solar panels that was taken up around the world. There won't be many systems still operating in 30 years. And there will be way better gear available in that time without needing new connectors wiring inverters and rewaterproofing etc. And panels flexing on a boat in salt spray - Pretty dangerous too...

This morning I thought about your dismantle of the lagoon 450 and the cabinetry and it's assembly install design. I would think that in future lagoon might find benefit of different assembly and install methods that Make the disassembly process for something like this easier on the consumer, namely the boat owners. If for example, the cabinets were individual units screwed on install. A lot of the trimming you did would not have been necessary. It is something they should consider for the design of future lagoon models. It would have been nice for the existing customers to have more detailed removal instructions that would have minimized the drastic action that you had to take. I applaud their providing a solution including the doubler and would hope that this would extend to the disassembly around the bulkheads. Anyone who watched your series of repair videos could clearly see that there were some deficiencies in the manufacturing process relating to the tabbing of the bulkheads to the hull. I would think this is a manufacturing defect. First and foremost. The fact that major furnishings like cabinets are not easily removable for inspecting bulkheads is more of a design defect or was not even a consideration. As an auto body repair mechanic who had a number of years working with fiberglass bodies and composites, I think much learning from this issue would benefit future design. As a technical process and tool developer, I would hope that their design methods would eliminate this in all future designs. Even to the point of doing stress analysis on the bulkheads to make them have a greater service life with greater resistance to the stress loads placed on them.

Hello there guys doing a good job on that top look very strong I think the way you do you think things out before you just do it that way you're not wasting any materials they're highly expensive but that top is looking really nice I purchased me a couple of solar panels last month second hand panels 260 watts each for my camping out here and I have five heavy duty batteries and your panels look pretty big I don't know if there's a 315 Watts or more but they are some huge panels you got there that's good anyway I can't wait to see the next video when you have them connected God bless you man be safe keep up the good work

Gday Colin. I dont know if you are considering building a boom saddle on your hardtop during your build. We built one our our L440 hardtop and it was a huge benefit as it can be securly locked in place when not in use and stop any squeaking noises.. We decided on a epoxied reinforced foam saddle rather than a metal saddle as the foam will break away if you lose control of the boom rather than damaging the boom or hardtop. If interested I can email photos of our setup if your interested.
