Anyone else super satisfied by the clicks throughout? Sata connector, CPU heatsink being mounted, RAM. 😁 Congrats on the super efficient build! Another great video. I did read somewhere that if you use almost, or all of the PCI-E sockets to maybe wrap some electrical tape around riser (which goes into the motherboard) as sometimes they can touch and short out the motherboard.
@SebsFinTechChannel3 жыл бұрын
Ah yes I’ve heard people doing that as well since the PCIe sockets are so close to each other on this motherboard! I didn’t have to do it on this build because I put the risers in every other PCIe slot, so there was room in between. But thank you so much for mentioning it so people don’t miss this if they’re plugging into every slot!

Oh My God, what a blast from the past I've got from this video. Congrats on the channel as a first. Great content, I really enjoy it, and I can really see myself 10y ago, when I was really careful and over doing it when building computers. But since then, I really got very aware of what could go sideways, and man, I dropped £5000k xeon on the floor and sipped some tea before casually picking that up, I shoved 32 sticks of 32GB of ecc ddr3 in my back pocket like a snickers bar. Built dual gpu servers in about 30 min each like a machine, and that included unboxing, cable management and sorting out the remaining cables and parts. I don't get sloppy with the tidiness of my workspace. My rig is very well done, and balanced, as I took extra steps of even balancing fan speeds to increase airflow (that is actually a tested thing), but what meets the eye seems like a mess compared to some metubers out there. Keep it going mate, and mock others, as I can see you really enjoy it, but you don't over do it ;) Take care!

this video is amazing and incredible helpfull both for new and experienced miners alike, I do have to point out that it is not possible to get 100 mh/s with 3 1660super, the best of the best you could get is 99 and that with perfect memory and silicon lotery on the 3 gpu's wich is very unlikely. I have 3 1660s as well and my best one can get 32.4 mh/s with no invalid shares wich is already pretty good, if you make this type of rig expect somewhere between 90-96 mh/s .

Hey that sounds like a really cool rig! Those PCIe splitters are so interesting, I’m really curious to try one... As for what I’m doing with my coins, right now I am selling right away, as the price of Ethereum is so high I figure now is the time to sell. Then when/if the price goes down again I will mine and hodl until the market swings back up again. @SebsFinTechChannel3 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for that. So I think for a 750W you should be safe to use up to 600W (80% rule). Subtract maybe 150W that the rest of your system uses and you're left with 450W. A 1660 Super has a TDP 120W so you could maybe just about get 4 of them on there safely. Any comments about powering risers with SATA or Molex ? I have 4 x 8pin connectors, they all get occupied by 4 GPU's. Or should I split them ?
@SebsFinTechChannel3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rob! Definitely don’t use SATA to power a riser, it is not safe as a riser can pull up to 75W and SATA can only handle about 50W. A regular 8pin cable can handle up to 288W, so if the TDP for your GPUs are less than let’s say 250W I would say the safest bet would be to split each 8-pin once to power the GPU and the riser for that same GPU. What GPUs do you have? Good luck! And also I recommend watching this video about powering your risers safely: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6ivpaijo6toY5o
