Lots of hard work and perseverance! As I mentioned to you... it (somewhat) pains me to know I have a set of quick jacks in my garage, that aren't really getting utilized right now. But that 2 day drive is a bit of a killer! And thanks for the shout-outs.. Story Time (many peeps might relate)... I was once a young guy. I had a 1966 Pontiac Beaumont 'Sport Deluxe' (Canadian sister car to the Chevy Chevelle). I was always flat broke - and didn't always have a place to work on it (and it needed a lot of work) - and I had nearly ZERO support, from ANYONE!! I was alone on my little Island, of wishing I could turn this beat up car into something! No one helped - yet I plugged away as best I could. Unfortunately it never came to be. I just didn't have the money - time - support... and it eventually took the wind completely out of the sails on the whole thing. Before I knew it... life passed by. Got married... a mortgage... kids... and the car never came to be. It languished in storage - from place to place. Until I ultimately sold it, and put the money away for some future 'thing'. I have few regrets in life. But I do wish I could've made more of that car. There was no such thing as the Internet back then - let alone Social Platforms to show your craft. A part of me is now living vicariously through Angel here. As he battles many of the same issues I did. Very few tools - not much space - having to watch EVERY dime - yet HIGHLY motivated with the hustle! Trying his best to make SOMETHING out of NOTHING!! Literally... look at this ScrapStang! It may not be perfect. It may be rough around the edges. But he's trying! He has insurmountable adversity, yet he's beating himself up to make it work.. I'm now in a place where I can help out. So I'm doing what I can. I think a number of us are in a similar place. We see Angel like we saw ourselves. This FREE content brings me great joy - so I do what I can to help where I can..

Angel, that was o much fun to watch, on so many levels... To the unexperienced, they are "learning" fabrication on the most basic level.. For us more more seasoned guys, we're all frustrated for not being able to give you pointers in real time !!!!! Like the boxing out that right angle bend on the trans mount bracket, and adding some tubing sleaves for those floor support bolts to prevent the frame rail from being collapsed when tightening. As for your cold garage, I went from working on my car, in the street, to then a Row home angled driveway, then to barrowing my dad's garage. It took me until I was 53 yrs old, till I finally had my own stand alone garage.. What a great feeling it was, until my 1st winter !!!! Try surfing F/B Market place for a used small oil fired "bullet" heater, sure you'd have to turn it off during recording, though its still better than frost bite !!!! God bless brother.. Keep at it !!!!

When you have to drill a hole like you did with no clearance for the drill , try a long small diameter bit. That will allow the drill to drill straight. You can drill through both sides. Then change bits, and come from both sides and drill to final dimension.

Good work bro! It looked like a sucky time, but it's such a nice feeling to finish it AND have it work out. I just spent two days in a 50 degree F garage trying to fit Brembo calipers and rotors to my car and basically failed while also rendering my car useless until I can bleed the brakes after this snowstorm passes. Sometimes things workout and sometimes they don't! For you, I'd advise wearing a hat, a hoodie, some thermal under garments, wool socks, and safety glasses. Have you thought about having a Patreon goal for getting a lift? Maybe there could be contribution tiers for having contributor's names inscribed/etched onto the lift posts or something. I just feel like anyone with shop space should automatically have a lift! Anyway, keep up the great work. I'm paying extra attention because I'm moving from Massachusetts to Phoenix in a little over a month and it's fun to see how different that area can be compared to the east coast (or Alaska, where I grew up). Stay safe out there!

Good job dude. 25 degrees in my shop but keep on truckin. you should think about putting tubing through the holes so you don't crush your frame rails. Just a tip from one builder to another. Keep up the good work and vids!😃

That looked rough. Maybe a full face shield would help. Having had quite a few pieces of metal taken out of my eyes back in my foundry grinder days they ain’t any fun getting them out. If you’re not careful they can cause permanent problems with your vision. Those sparks on your back hurt too had that happen more than I want to remember too. But hard gained progress! Can’t wait for the next time

Thanks! A full face shield would not have fit or atleast been hard to maneuver under the car, and my saftey glasses kept getting foggy in this cold lol. But definitely do not want shavings in my eye!

Great perseverance on this thing! Now that your angles are set, you might want to consider a couple triangle gussets between the bottom of the "L" the transmission mount rests on and the vertical piece that connects to the crossbar. Right now, you're kinda suspended out in space and the weight/vibration of the transmission has a lot of leverage to bend/snap the connection to the crossbar. Time to upgrade your safety squints to proper PPE!

Suggestion, installing some gussets on your DM tube to your plate on each side to keep from flexing from the torque🤔🙏🏽🤓👍🏼🤙🏽
