He seemed like he was very new to 4 wheeling. Which is great to see people getting out there. Just a lot of money for a new hobby. I was talking to a buddy about this the other day. All these guys/girls with tons of money into this overlanding/camping/four wheeling movement. I think after 5 years or so they will realize its not for them or they wont be getting out as much as before or whatever. This will create a really nice second hand market for us that have been wheeling our whole lives and is a way of life and not just a fad.

Twisting Terrain that’s a whole new perspective! For this family it was an opportunity to spend more time outside as a family. For some of the others, maybe you’ve got a point. Only time will tell. Cheers and thanks for watching!

My thought is what does it matter if it's a new hobby or old one? It's a lot of money either way, and the fact that someone spent it earlier in life than someone else doesn't delegitimize them wanting to get into it. Everyone has to start somewhere. My dad wasn't into this type of thing, but I've developed a real love of it. I got into it by purchasing a 2015 Nissan Xterra PRO-4X last year, started with a 5" lift and haven't looked back. My daughter loves going out in it with me, and I don't regret it a bit. It certainly is an expensive hobby, and I may not do it forever (although at this point I think I will), but it's worth it to me now. I think what you said is a bit like that dude that's been surfing since he was 6 going a little sour grapes on the dude that wants to learn when's he's 35. Time doesn't work the same for everyone.

Off roading vehicles are in right now. Everyone wants light bars and winches regardless if they go out or not.

I've seen quite a few Instagram credit card builds go up for sale. $5k trucks can be just as fun as $50k trucks!

@@TenBuckTraveler More fun cause Honey badger don't care with a 5k truck. Blazeey own trails.

So what's the advantage of the Tacoma over the 4runner?
@msoverland6 жыл бұрын
Man, that's a loaded question. Generally, there's way more cargo in a Tacoma. Depends on your personal needs, but add a kiddo or two and you'll move your self out of a 4Runner real quick or you'll have to buy a trailer.
@RiverRatsTotalOutdoors6 жыл бұрын
Yep its the cargo, 4runner gets cramped real quick, both are super capable, 4runner edging out the longer Tacoma in alot of situations, but the Taco has it beat in the cargo and room.
@ralphkeith5016 жыл бұрын
I knew I was going to be adding a roof top tent. A 4runner limited my options to a roof mount only which eliminated the ability to carry kayaks (we prefer to camp near lakes). I mounted the tent over the bed of my Tacoma and installed a cargo slide. I've got plenty of capacity in the bed, tent, kayak racks and bikes on the hitch.

Nice Tacoma. I love my kids dearly but I would tear their rumps up for scratching up my $50k truck unnecessarily! Lol

nathan koroush LOL that’s just mean. My view - if the little man doesn’t scratch it daddy will. As one great pit boss once said, “rubbing’s racing Cole, rubbing’s racing.” Happy trails and thanks for watching!

Chain saws are your best friends for wheeling , can any one speak for the Cabelas cooler ? It looks sick
@gearanalyzer6 жыл бұрын
I’ve found this Pelican Cooler amzn.to/2LVaYa0 to be the best YETI alternative. Lighter weight and has wheels
@msoverland6 жыл бұрын
Yes, it didn't make the cut but Jim did speak highly of his cooler quote, "we only used 2 bags of ice and I don't think we needed that much really." He seemed pleased with it.
