A basic example would be a back end engineer writes code that runs on one machine. The dev ops team then takes that code runs it spawns it on many machines in "the cloud" (Amazon web services). All these machines are basically copies of the original code but now you have to deal with new issues like how do we choose which machine a user hits or how do we keep our Amazon computing costs down.

Brief insightful and thorough video. (My comment is long) As a coding beginner almost a year ago, I didn't even know what exactly coding was. And I have given my experience so far on another video of yours. For me, what helped is letting myself learn the basics of coding. Self-study coding language basics. Then research and ask questions on various coding jobs/careers that I have kept hearing and seeing from a coding Black women group that I am a part of. Also from KZbin vloggers, the Internet career blogs, webinars, and LinkedIn. The majority mentioned software developers or software engineers or Full Stack. It seemed like these were the only careers so I thought that I wanted to be a Software Engineer or Full Stack. But I realized that I would like a more technical structured coding job/career. But one day I had randomly seen a KZbin video on Network Engineer and Systems Engineer a month ago. Then DevOps from a member of the coding women group that I am a part of. I had asked questions and did my own research about these careers. I was intrigued however I was figuring out what plan to begin to get to any of these and still ask questions while I am a BSc Accounting and Finance International student in the process. Sometime last week or two, I had seen a KZbin video randomly on Data Engineer. And I had listened to a couple more videos which I realized my skills and strengths fit this career. And so I figured out what I want to be a Data Engineer. I see there are not many people speaking about this career either.
