Bulgarian Lunge is good for hip, quad and glute strengthening with core and balance control. Standing tall, prop one leg up on a bench or box behind you, drop your back knee toward the ground, then stand back up. Be sure you are far enough from the bench that your front knee is over your front foot while in your lunge split lunge.
