Everyone I don’t have the free time to waste respond to so many morons who are using Strawman arguments or are being overly pedantic. Stop putting words into my mouth or using things and twisting them to make it look like your right. I could’ve listed 500,000 different examples to illustrate my point. The point is if if bulking helps you gain a little bit more muscle that little bit more muscle will balance out when trying to go on a cut in comparison to the person who does the slow and steady cuts or does maintenance in the end you’re all going to achieve the same and result regardless of the method used. So choose whatever way makes you happy. Now back to my bike race. Hard to type while riding.

I fully agree with these scenarios and the explanation. My personal aproach is a little different tho because of mental stuff. I can‘t stick to a diet perfectly without positive reenforcement from either getting stronger or getting leaner. Therefore my aproach is a combination of all three scenarios. For example during christmas time up to march i do a lean bulk. In that time its christmas, new years, my grandpas birth day, my brothers birth day, my best friends birth day and my birth day. I couldn‘t stand it to have to miss all that great (but unhealthy) food, alcohol and generally good time. After that i do a cut until june and after that it is maingaining (maybe 2 10day mini cuts inbetween because i can‘t stick to the diet that well) I just do as Greg says, i do the thing that works for me.

i started a very aggressive bulk a few weeks ago im already up to around 18% Bf from 12 ish. This video totally changed my mind. Im going to cut back to 12-13% (I think i look the best there) and do 2-300 surplus and see how it goes. Thank you Greg.

Most bros online preach you cannot cut and build muscle or “recomp” staying the same weight and building muscle.
@Gushick3 жыл бұрын
Well, because everyone Who experienced "cut", no matter how slow it was, lost some muscle. And then there are youtubers Who claim that i could not only save muscle, but even build some, on a cut, Lmao.

Im a simple guy I just work out everyday, eat 5 meals sometimes 4 wouldnt care if I only ate 3 meals a day. I really dont get craving but If theres a donut lying on the counter I pick it up and eat it Cause why not it tastes good If the gyms closed no worries I go on a run. No strict plans No goal to look a certain way.. I just try to flow where life takes me
@spirti95914 жыл бұрын
And sometimes this is the best way to approch it But usually you start taking seriously the gym because your either look like a spaghetti of because you can roll instead of walking, so you need to take it in a certain way, then after a couple of year this kind of mentality is definetly reasonable

Why did Person A gain 3lbs of muscle during their cut, but Person B gained 0? Is this assuming they are both novice/new lifters?

They cut harder than person A , if you do a very slow cut , even 100-200 cals a day for 6 months , rather than 500 cals , you`re muscle gaining mecanism is more efficient , no stress on it , therefore you gain more while cutting
@Danny-yk3vd4 жыл бұрын
Alexandru Ene person A cut for 6 months then maintained for 6 months but he gained 3 lbs of muscle on his cut..... person B maintain for 6 months and gained 3 lbs of muscle then cut for 6 months and only gained a lb....... so the cut was the same...... Greg is talking a lot of nish nash on this occasion!!!... but I get the point he’s trying to make....... 100% the most optimal way to gain muscle is to be in a slight calorie surplus and gain weight slowly, so you stay in relatively good shape and when time comes to cut your not a fat mess....... Greg 100% knows that so I’m not sure why he doesn’t just say it
@alexandruene42474 жыл бұрын
@@Danny-yk3vd Maybe person A got his metabolism better than person B?sometimes , honestly if i do , lets say 200 more cals on bike/treadmill every day and at the end of the week i eat same food but i add a pizza/fast food meal , i still loose weight(fast food meal is more than 1400 cals extra burned).Maybe you`re getting more efficient if you follow person A , idk
