Yeah the Lance of Longinus is a funny one. Basically Jesus had already died and a soldier poked his body to make sure he was dead and by bathing the spear in the blood of Christ it was sanctified making it a holy relic or something like that. The fun thing is that all of the Instruments of the Passion or the Arma Christi involved in the Passion of Jesus Christ are holy relics, but the spear is the cool one I guess. Nobody wants to kill demons with the Holy Sponge, the cowards.

How does the Holy Lance that poked Jesus have a Christian fish on it, when the whole of Christianity at the time was just a bearded guy with his posse hanging around in Galilea? Makes no sense

Presumably, this would've been added after the fact, following Saint Longinus' conversion. Well, his invention as an ideal Roman convert for propaganda purposes. But I guess all of this is supposed to be the literal truth in the world of The Council, where Jesus was both a real person, and a deamon inventing a religion to con the masses into subservience. 🙃
