In Indian desserts we use cardamon alot.. so a very easy way I do is to grind the cardamon seeds with sugar... and voila it's fine powder

Years ago I took a cake decorating class. When it came to preparing the pans the instructor had us butter and then instead of flour use granulated sugar. It gave a nice finish to the sides for decorating, especially those fluted pans or the character pans

Tip for the cardamom. Roast in a pan on low heat on the stove until very lightly brown. Then grind down with pestle and mortar. The roasting process really helps make grinding easier, and the flavour gets more intense.
@Jeena-cb6yn3 жыл бұрын
How many minutes would you do this for rougly?
@aaliakhan43263 жыл бұрын
@@Jeena-cb6yn not long. A minute maybe. You have to watch closely and make sure it doesn't get too brown. You should move them around so they brown all over. Once golden/lightly brown remove from pan. If you don't have a pestle and mortar you can even roll it with a rolling pin on a chopping board. But it won't get as fine.

@@Jeena-cb6yn I'm so glad to have helped ☺. All the best, I'm sure it will come out great👍. I live in Japan and we don't have proper ovens like in the US or UK. I cut down to recipe to 1/3 and made a small cake. It was so rich in flavour and the best tea cake I've had so far. My kitchen was filled with the aroma of lemon, rose and cardamom. This is definitely the best recipe. I also reduced the almond flour by 20g and replaced with Apf. The result was still great!
