When you said "just going to sharpen up that corner" ... tight inside corner radii are stress risers and more likely to twist the head off at some point like the original did. Use as generous a fillet as you can get away with the mating parts. Even breaking the inside corner of the banjo fitting is good to allow a smoother transition.
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed Ай бұрын
Yeah I was aware of that but I was trying to copy the original as close as I could and it was a bit of an untidy area.

G Day Lance, nice to see you back on the tractors, your sheds looking good as well, plenty of clean tidy room for working in. See you've found the transtions in Davinci Resolve, how do you like it? I find it very easy to use, especially when multi camera working, keep them coming Barry

G Day Barry, Im back using Premier Pro I just tried the Davinci for one video as my mate Plasma Dave was liking it. I have an adobe subscription for other things so I just kept using it. I only use the transitions on this type of video, the stews i just keep raw so to speak. I have green screen stuff tucked away as well but I feel everyone gets sick of seeing subscribe everywhere when they all know how it all works anyway. Good to be back on tractor work though.

Thanks for the advice on how to reseal the Cav injector pump for my 50D. The tractor seems like it wants to keep working for a good long time. Only problem is the injector head mount bolt is leaking and I’m hesitant to tighten it too much because I’ve had bolts break off that way. Any further advice would be appreciated. Happy retirement mate! PS, I have relatives near Melbourne who I haven’t seen in 40 years or so. The time sure flies by! Take care.

Did you fit the copper washer? You could get it out and reseal it without removing the pump normally.
@davidelplaneta272
@davidelplaneta272 Ай бұрын
@ Hello Lance, thank you for responding. I have put three different copper washers on that bolt and used a expansion pipe to put over the open end of the 5/8 wrench and tighten it as much as I’m daring to do, but it still drips. I can’t figure it out, and now I’m going to take the pump back out because I buggered something else and the main shaft seal is leaking so much that fuel is coming out of the oil dipstick. lol!!! Well it’s like you said, don’t get discouraged because we all make mistakes. I probably bought a bad reseal kit. I looked online for the one you recommended but couldn’t find it, and bought the most expensive one on eBay. Man I’m really dumb sometimes. Can I get the good kit online? I don’t know where to look.
@BundyBearsShed

Did you replace the o ring on the input shaft? I think most kits are made from the same place, they all look the same at least.
@davidelplaneta272
@davidelplaneta272 Ай бұрын
@ Yes I did replace it. I pulled the pump off again and I think I found my mistake. There’s a keeper washer on the timing gear head shaft that looks like a little coil spring. When I took the pump apart the first time it fell out and I didn’t see where it came from. When I reassembled the pump I put the washer in back of the little spacer so it was between the sprocket and the spacer. I think it’s supposed to be between the spacer and the Allen head bolt. Placing it between the spacer and the sprocket made it push out the seal. Well that’s my theory anyway so I’ll put it back together and see what happens. All in all it’s a good learning experience. I still don’t know why the pump head mounting bolt keeps leaking, but I’m going to get that thing sealed one way or another. I was thinking about using a hot copper washer and smashing that thing flat as paper. What do think about that?

Just a little update; The good news is that the tractor is pretty much back to normal, starts right up and runs fine. The other news is that it still has a small drip from the bottom of the injector pump leaking from the distributor head bolt and the roller track bolt. At this point it’s not something that I plan to spend my lunch money on trying to fix it, since the reseal did stop most of the leaks and the tractor runs again. Thanks again for the advice. Happy fishing ! Take care.

I don't think anyone has it correct as in the tractor supply companies. Take yous air cleaner to a good paint supply company and get it mixed.
