Just FYI; on my Perkins AD4.203 there is a letter "D" marked on the camshaft gear and on the camshaft flange as well. You might need to clean with brake cleaner in order to see the one on the camshaft itself. Just line up the bolt hole in the gear next to the "D" with the one on the camshaft and you should be all set. Thanks again for all the helpful videos, Lance.

I am always baffled Lance how you would remember which screws belongs to which part when you assemble it- perhaps you may have a magic trick! Anyway your teaching has inspired me to restore a 1972 three cylinder diesel Ford 3000 tractor so thank you for that.

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole video lance and I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that gets frustrated with metric bolts being used in place's that are frustrating 😑

Great video Lance. I’m kinda behind on videos , but I’ll catch up. We used to use a tool called a speed handle, kinda look like a crank. Was used for taking loosened bolts or nuts off.

So old school using a spanner to help another spanner loosen bolts. Still a good way .

I see there is no way to adjust fuel pump timing on the engine other than rotating the pump on the mounts? We've a MK1, and the drive gear has adjustment in it as well as pump mount

I’m calling crap! Not one broke bolt? No strips? Rounded heads? No covers glued to the block? Some blokes been in there before! Hell, you never pulled out the bloody torch once! I wouldn’t even consider that job without full tanks.
