Halo uses Havok Physics, which has a plugin & is compatible with UE5. The bigger issue with UE5 is its modding and map editor, they’d have to make all those from scratch as you can’t ship your game using UE5 tools for your map editor, which is why few UE5 games have modding capabilities.

How come this is the first time I'm hearing about proper Halo PC splitscreen!?! This is so cool! IT CAN EVEN DO REACH WITH 16 PLAYERS! If you use parsec with people near by, or even with some in-person; you can have a mix of remote (parsec), local, and normal online to do a Halo Reach LASO run with 16 players... (Halo Reach is the only one that seems to network properly and in a stable way for that many players)

There's also the method of turning into a marine at the start on the bridge, progressing through the level up until the pelican drops off the scorpian, as the marine you can enter the Pelican and fly up there :)

referring to an old ass video i saw as a kid when youtube was still ripe with halo 2 content, utilizing i believe the spudnik skull, the double nade trick with 2 plasmas and a beam rifle you were able to do what i like to call "blitz launching* a ghost instead of a warthog. all this in the section right before you meet up with sgt banks. ill have to do some digging but i may look for it again

My favorite way back in the day which wasn't shown here was to push up one of those lil medical crates to the end of the level just above where you used the explosive blocks. There is a very peculiar line you have to prop it up to and (using the sputnik skull) you stand on it while firing the rocket to have the crate smack you up there. Did this often when I was a kid because I didn't know about about any of the other methods and I only learned about that way from a random video on a forum that was maybe a few seconds long

There was another strategy using Sputnik and grenading a crate near the end of the mission. Took about 3 hours to get my Halo 2 Vista achievement.

This reminds me of all the glitches I tried out when I was a kid on Halo 1. The triple gun glitch on POA, the entire mission skip on AOTCR, leaving the Pillar of Autumn on the first mission. Not to mention being able to jump outside of the map on the Composer on Halo 4 and being able to control a mac cannon.

I used sputnik and a rocket launcher to shoot near me while standing on a box lined up with some geometry on the catwalk at the end of the level and launched myself up to it, took 2 hours but it was fun every minute of it. Edit: did not know there was a 500lb block of serious putty beside me when doing it, makes much more sense in hindsight as to why most of the time I overshot the bridge by 3 miles because I added an extra accelerant into the mix.

Not on Legendary but Monopoli has a guide for doing by AUPing a Marine and then literally flying pelican up there (there is, of course, also the possibility of AUPing the Pelican itself) if you wanna add that for two more. I believe it's also possible to butterfly up there off a marine before triggering the scarab so that's one more method but that'd also be pretty hard on Legendary. On the original unpatched game (also from Mono) there's using lunge storage and a second player to quite literally fly from the beginning of the level to the scarab gun by having the other player load the second BSP in time for the flier to continue but sadly that's not possible on MCC (until someone mods that glitch back in).

Better performance is not your friend in trying to get the Scarab Gun the classic Banshee-in-the-tunnel way. It was way easier to hijack the banshee when loading took a bit longer like on a completely stock original Xbox. If you did a HDD upgrade or have installed an SSD + Cerbios on an OG Xbox, the loading moment is way shorter.

they totally intended it with the rocket and explosive blocks! not only does it not require any technical loading zone shenanigans, but it also doesn't require any skulls, so it's probably the most accessible on any random run and the least requiring of technical knowledge.
