Killomainia not sure if you knew this but I was able to find materials pretty quickly for all three exotic swords back in D1 by using snipers. You just aim down sights and the scope will reveal all chests and materials in the area, even if they’re not nearby.

Ill be honest, I was looking forward so much to Destiny 3 when we FINALLY get to go up against the beings of the pyramid ships. BUT Im also glad Bungie was able to free themselves from the "Ball N Chain" by going independent and is able to create Destiny 2 the way they want to now and how gamers around the world kept pleading for, including me. Destiny 2 has SO MUCH potential. So this expansion is a VERY welcome sight and is a good appetizer until whenever they decide to bring in those pyramid ships in this game or in D3. Looks amazing so far and I for one can't wait. Good work Bungie!

Well Ashe I can assure you that D3 will be a thing Mark Noseworthy has gone on record saying, and I quote, “Destiny [2] is a huge game. We mean in terms of the scope of the game, that complexity, but also just the amount of space we take on people’s hard drives. [We] can’t really just grow the game infinitely, forever.” So rest assured.

In some of the lore books based on Calus and the Leviathan, another predatory alien race called the Aphelion is described. Im not sure if this is a reference to an already existing faction like the Taken, but its likely that Bungie plan on introducing us to a new faction much stronger than the aliens we usually encounter. This species in his propaganda book essentially wipes out all of the species in the solar system, including the vanguard. Since the end of the world is linked to Calus and he seems to be a central character in Destiny 2 and the first dlc was related to an end of the world scenario, we may not need a D3 to discover what those pyramid ships in the end cutscene of the game were as I think Bungie are slowly pushing towards this theme with D2's expansions.

@@abdoul5176 Hard drives are becoming a thing of the past to be honest, with consoles pushing for SSD next gen and SSDs becoming much cheaper and more accessible on PC, I think D2 has a lot of life left since the concern for hard drive space is an issue that will be mitigated next gen which the console manufacturers seem adamant on starting next year. I think the problem with segregating the overall destiny experience across multiple games prevents Destiny from having a concrete identity or proper sense of direction, since Bungie are calling it an MMO now, I think for the next few years at least 8t would make more sense for Bungie to focus on D2 and perhaps prepare to remaster the game for a next gen console release, so they can do more with the expansions in terms of size and particle effects etc... From the implied scale in that Eris Morn cutscene, Im starting to think that maybe there is an actual darkness ship buried within the moon. A Pyramid ship hidden away during the collapse while the rest ventured back into the cosmos. I also think its fair to assume that these new Hive are the hidden swarm if not just a red-themed design choice.
