can't see the point in building an aeroplane this big that you can't actually get into and fly. Its very nice though

No time like the present Dude....go out, take the wallet out of the pocket, take the money out of the walllet snd give it to a hobby shop......it's how it ALL then falls apart and you become a tragic like the rest of us....lost in aileron's and elevators and cylinders in the round........but it's a lovely ride to the poorhouse...I must admit.

That has to be the most graceful landing I have ever seen, absolutely beautiful....! I love the way this design just floats thru the air more than flying.... I am a sailplane flyer, and I would say that this has to be the first time I have ever given thought about flying an aircraft of this design, or a similar one of this period of early flight.... Thank you so much for sharing this video with us, it is one that I shall not forget easily...

Meinen absoluten Respekt!

Very realistic An odd feature of the Bleriot is that the main landing gear swivels freely which makes cross-wind take off interesting because the aircraft gets blown sideways. It kept the ship from being tipped over by the wind but control was iffy. Early machines were tail heavy so the stabilizer carried a lot of positive incidence to maintain level flight. The tall landing gear helps slow the aircraft upon landing. Pulling back on the stick plants the tail wheel and the wing acts as a brake...very much like sailing a boat.

May I please use a couple of clips from this footage to demonstrate some of the love that still exists for Bleriot's achievement in 1909?!

awesome! how is it rolled/banked? I notice, true to the original it has no ailerons, is "cheating" used and the aileron input fed into the elevators? if I recall the banking on the original was done by manipulating the wire struts supporting the wing to warp the wing shape slightly.
@whopperlover17727 жыл бұрын
roadsweeper1 they show that in the vid bro. Before they start flying it shows the wings warping from the cables.
@stevebett49474 жыл бұрын
Wilbur Wright explained wing warping to Bleriot in late 1908. Bleriot had it added to his model XI by 1909. "After Wilbur did his demo flights in France in 1908, everyone was convinced that wing warping was the way ahead - including, famously, Louis Bleriot, who reputedly stated, after seeing Wilbur flying his aircraft at Le Mans, "To hell with the aileron...", such was the impact on aviation the Wrights ideas made at the time."

How many time you have to spin that prop to prime it . If the float was full all you need to do is to chock the engine ignition on and on the first piston fires the engine should be running . Put an low pressure electric fuel pump on it and one flick of the prop it will run . If not then you have a problem .
