I just got my Bupropion HCL 150 MG filled today. Since this mediation has a black box warning. I have to meet with my Nurse Practitioner every month. I have my bottle in my hand now. I have yet to take it. I’ve heard really great things about the medication. I got it prescribed for my depression, but especially for my ADHD. I’m hoping it does great things for me. Considering I’m not hyper, but I have a difficult time focusing and concentrating on this. I procrastinate a lot. I start wayyy to many projects that I don’t finish. With my ADHD it’s like this: Imagine being in a gymnasium with hundreds of thousands post it notes on the walls. On every post it note, there are thoughts, tasks and projects listed on them. That’s what my mind is like 24/7. The projects, thoughts, ideas and advice are really great. It will definitely benefit my life and progress me further. But I just cannot even go through step one and sit down to focus. I get so distracted easily. It’s horrible. Hopefully this medication will really help me!

I started this one month ago and it has changed everything. I initially went to my doctor with concerns of ADHD. I take this medicine for my anxiety and depression and it does help to a certain degree. My doctor just increased my dosage from 30 ml to 300 ml. It does make me feel dizzy at times, though, but it does help my mood.

@@azizadam3819 bruhhh lemme tell you. It was nuts, on the third day I got crazy chest and arm pains on my right side which continued to worsen with every inhale. It got so bad I couldn’t sleep so I had to quit after 5 days. The following few days after quitting sucked but the physical pain went away almost immediately and eventually my mood stabilized. Bupropion was just not for me :/ good luck tho

I see that you just posted this comment a month ago so just thought I would tell you that you should definitely at least try it. It has been an absolute game changer for me. My depression and anxiety were super super bad and unbearable. This has completely done a 360 in my life. It’s the best thing I have ever done. I’ve heard some people say that it didn’t work for them whatsoever and that it actually made their symptoms worse but for me, like I said, it’s the best thing I ever did. You need to give it at least six weeks before you decide that it doesn’t work for you because it doesn’t even get to its full effect until around 4 to 6 weeks.

@@roca00 It almost killed me. Gave me suicide thoughts. They switched me to Desvenlafaxine, which hasn’t worked yet but al least is not as bad as bupropion. The week a quit bupropion had to take Clonazepam to calm me down. I’m still struggling, adding the blurry vision and depersonalization the Bupropion caused me, even til the present day. Well, at least I no longer have those horrible suicide thoughts that almost succeeded. Keep it up brother, we can make this. God bless you.

you should talk how generics aren't as good as the brand name Wellbutrin. Like the Zydus one, it is made in India, it has been recalled and warned for unsanitary condition and they still sell that poison in the USA....why? The more people I know taking this medication, they all say that the brand name didn't cause them the bad side effects of the generics. The so called "inactive ingredients" they aren't inactive, and people have reaction to that. Those generics use ammonia, FERROSOFERRIC OXIDE, SHELLAC and the brand name don't. So it make you think.

@@ashgemini867 Hell no! I should’ve stayed at 150mg. Doubling the dosage was the worst thing my bitch ass psychiatrist did to me. The 300mg XL gave me horrible anxiety. I totally tapered myself off antidepressants completely but it screwed me up big time. I still get anxious from time to time and I’m trying to overcome it with time and patience. I want to see a therapist but my insurance sucks. If what you were taking before was doing the job then I wouldn’t increase it but if you’re having severe depression then work with your doctor and monitor yourself. I would let him or her know right away if you start feeling any bad side effects especially anxiety. The last thing you want is for this medication to ruin your life and then you find yourself having to rebuild it back to normal like I’ve been trying to do for almost a year now. Good luck!

I felt the difference the next day after i took it. I was very depressed and suicidal, no energy, exhausted, too many unwanted thoughts. At first it was amazing. But after 4 days my anxiety disorder came back and it's extreme and unbearable. This med works well for depression but will worsen anxiety

@@jiezhu7673 Exactly! My anxiety was under control until my dosage got doubled and made it worse to a point where I was getting extreme panic attacks. Thank God I started chopping my pills in half. That relieved most of my anxiety but it still lingers from time to time. You should let your doctor know about the side effects you're experiencing. Hopefully you go back to 150mg and your anxiety will start to decrease. Then pray to God you won't need to take antidepressants anymore. It worked for me. Good luck!

@@CurlyQ313 I don’t mind at all. This post was 10 months ago. I just wanted to say that I am still on it. There were a time where I took a month off and I just felt so tired and no energy. I have seven kids and I am in nursing school currently and I think that it’s helping me a lot to stay focus. I haven’t had a depressive episode as of late, so I know that it must be working OK as for symptoms everything has subsided. The first few weeks of it was bad headaches, tinnitus, and blurred vision, but eventually it goes away. I can’t say this for everyone though because it works different on all of us. If you are going on it I recommend that you take the meds in the morning first thing when you get up because if you take it at night, you’ll probably be up all night. Good luck with everything.

I have been taking Bupropion at 75mg/day for approximately one month, but I have started to experience arrhythmia as tachycardia or rapid heartbeat (a common occurrence for me), a prelude to nightly akathisia unto hypomania. Well, "Abilify" did that to me a couple years ago while trying to de-transition from Quetiapine Fumerate. Every hypomanic episode I have experienced occurred just after onset of arrhythmia or nervousness. The previous night (3-20-20), I found it difficult to fall asleep with a tachycardia, but after taking some suggestions about how I position myself, the beat fell just enough that I could fall asleep. If I am that sensitive to a dose beneath the mean medicinal range, then I might just split the Bupropion pills instead just because they are working everywhere else. I am going to ask the pharmacist and later my physician and psychiatrist about how to handle this, on the assumption that the heart issue subsides like every other side effect when starting out.

Hey, my question is about my side effects. So I love taking this, I feel totally fine, I am myself, but I have been experiencing chest pains, an occasional headache, and insomnia for part of the night. The insomnia is way less severe than you would expect, however, I am concerned about the chest pain. I did read that you shouldnt be concerned if it’s mild chest pains as it is a common side effect and should go within two weeks. If it’s sharp chest pains that’s when you should see a doctor. If you could update me on the chest pains and if they went away!

Yes! Update!! I actually waited it out. The bumps went away within a day or so. I was just very scared to take this stuff. I'm still on it, 350 mg in the AM. It's been good ever since. I got up to 400 but my heart was getting a bit racey so I went back down to 350 and that was the sweet spot. Aaaaaaaaand I lost 10 pounds!!! I'm grateful for this med. I feel it helped me get thru Covid. Not the sickness itself, but the time period. I wish you all well!!
