I’ve been on Wellbutrin for about a month as well, for depression. I was in such denial about my need for medication because of the stigma surrounding it, but this medication saved my life. I had the exact same side effects, but I have began to feel like myself again and it is so refreshing! I hope that you will make an update video again! It is comforting to see others going through the same thing as me and I think this is so important for others to watch, even if it’s not in real time. Thank you for this!

I’ve been on bupropion for a while now and it’s relieve that im progressing while on this medication. Moreover, I experienced adverse effects such as insomnia, loss of appetite, confusion and so on. Most importantly, my depressive episode has been gone for a while now and I’m thankful to my psychiatrist for referring this medication.

I just got my Bupropion HCL 150 MG filled today. Since this mediation has a black box warning. I have to meet with my Nurse Practitioner every month. I have my bottle in my hand now. I have yet to take it. I’ve heard really great things about the medication. I got it prescribed for my depression, but especially for my ADHD. I’m hoping it does great things for me. Considering I’m not hyper, but I have a difficult time focusing and concentrating on this. I procrastinate a lot. I start wayyy to many projects that I don’t finish. With my ADHD it’s like this: Imagine being in a gymnasium with hundreds of thousands post it notes on the walls. On every post it note, there are thoughts, tasks and projects listed on them. That’s what my mind is like 24/7. The projects, thoughts, ideas and advice are really great. It will definitely benefit my life and progress me further. But I just cannot even go through step one and sit down to focus. I get so distracted easily. It’s horrible. Hopefully this medication will really help me!

@@katethegardener yeah the way your heart beats on the medication is very abnormal. They should definitely look into that and take the medication off of the market. I no longer am taking any medication. I feel much better. I think it was due to the toxic work environment that I was at a year ago. That made me feel the way that I did. I mean, besides the whole heart racing thing. I felt extremely depressed and worthless. But now that I am off the medication and I no longer work at the place that I was working at. I do not feel that way anymore at all. I am very confident and I can strive towards the goals that I want to. I feel extremely happy. Think another thing that was a cause of my depression was me vaping. I quit vaping Monday. I already feel a huge difference, even though I was already happy. I feel a little bit more happier and more relaxed.I just feel really good

@@katethegardener I have heard a lot about magnesium deficiency and how it really plays a role and just a lot of things that can go wrong or just not function properly within the human body. It is nice to see that you are taking magnesium and other supplements. I really feel like there are certain lament like vitamins, minerals, or nutrients that could really help you and there is no need for this medication. But at the same time, big Pharma won’t be able to make their money on the medication. That is a whole reason why a lot of the supplements and minerals and nutrients are unknown to the general public on what helps. I apologize for the errors. I am using text to speech.

Wellbutrin has done wonders for me , I also felt on the second week the change, i’ve noticed not getting anxious if I had to go out or go to any family function I just start by y getting ready and went. Before I would make any excuse or make something up not to go anywhere. Ive been on this medication on and off for 10 yrs and it has helped me, now I see the changes and keep track of my behavior if I sit and write down what I remember and as I see this videos, I evaluate my own self at the moment.

This medication felt like it worked immediately but I’m probably on the 2nd week now and all the sudden I got extremely irritable and the other day I got extreme anxiety and didn’t want to be around my family which is unusual for me. The irritability got to me at work and I burst into tears. That is not normal for me. Most of the time though I feel like I can complete more tasks faster than normal and I can focus a lot better

It did make a difference goin back to 150mg. 300 was just too much for me. It's been a few months and I'm leveled out now. However I have moments where it seems to not be enough... Then again, a pill can't complete cure this either... Taking the proper steps to create a more efficient routine. But overall...the 150's are the sweet spot for me

I will start Wellbutrin as soon as I'm completely weaned off of Effexor, which should be about 3 weeks. I can't wait. Effexor completely stopped helping with my depression after about 17 years. No matter what dosage I moved to, nothing changed. I'm so happy about starting Wellbutrin. I worry some about the anxiety, though.

@@ripps999p, unfortunately, it had no effect on me, so the doctor took me off of it. I had few/zero withdrawal symptoms. I spent ten days of taking it every other day, then I stopped, per doctor's orders. My daughter, who suffers from anxiety also, does really well with it in combination with Prozac. It's been a game changer for her.

I've been on Wellbutrin for about a week now (along with lamictal and Zoloft) and have definitely experienced a lot of the symptoms you had mentioned during your one week update. Hoping to see benefits in the same way that you seem to have experienced. The chronic fatigue, lack of confidence, and constant negative thoughts really can become sort of crippling. I think that the lamictal and zoloft have helped to relieve suicidal ideation, but I still fell depressed, apathetic, and just generally negative. Really hoping the addition of the Wellbutrin will help push my depression into remission. Good luck, hope that Wellbutrin continues to yield benefit for you.

​@@blizzardbaby I'd love to provide an update! I am now a little over two weeks in. The effects I have felt thus far are modest, but I am happy about the direction that I appear to be headed. I have noticed an uptick in the physical aspects of anxiety. I do struggle with trichotillomania and excoriation (hair pulling and skin picking) as well, and Wellbutrin has made these slightly worse. Regarding depression; I do take Zoloft and Lamictal as well, so your mileage might vary. Since beginning Wellbutrin though, the physical components of my depression have diminished. I also feel that I ruminate less. As a result of these two things, I have noticed a modest improvement in productivity and motivation. My focus has also modestly improved. I have not been as easily distracted as I had been prior to starting Wellbutrin. I have also noticed that Wellbutrin has helped me to regain some of the sex-drive I had loss when I began taking Zoloft and Lamictal. My appetite has majorly declined; I have to actively remember to eat at times. I realize that this was very long-winded, but I really hope that this was at least somewhat helpful!

This is strange. I'm on 10 mg Lexapro and also Wellbutrin SR. 150 mg two times a day and it seems to make me extremely tired at different times during the day. I haven't seen anybody else post that but that is what is happening to me so I am starting to go down. I'm starting 100 mg two times a day SR. Not sure if you're still around. I've been on almost every stimulant to handle my add and depression. I started wellbutrin/zyban 5 days ago, and the weird thing is, I felt better immediately. But only the first two days. Now I feel exhausted, depressed and jittery. I did expect these side effects but I expected them to be present from day one. It makes me think that this will down spiralling from now one. Maybe it's just a paranoid thought. What's your view on it? I guess I need to hang on

I gotta say I’m a week in on 150mg and getting out of bed is so much easier already. I was struggling with anxiety, low motivation, low energy, and now I’m actually feeling energized enough to take care of myself better. I have noticed I’m sweating more and my anxiety does feel a little stronger, but because I’m not as depressed feeling, I can manage it better. Curious to see how it helps after a month or so.

I was on Bupropion only for concentrating issues. It mostly did nothing, except keep me awake. I would wake up after only 4 hours of sleep every day. After a while, that was what helped me get into a normal bedtime routine, though. At 300mg, a single missed dose combined with incidental binge drinking was enough to cause some serious side effects like dizziness and unsteady gait. I asked my prescribing doctor if it was even healthy that I had been sleeping less than 4 hours for weeks, and she never responded to my actual question. So in terms of wakefulness, I definitely loved Bupropion, but it’s too bad the manufacturer increased dosages in increments of 150mg because 300 was just too dang much.

Hey, I think I can tell you with a high degree of certainty from my own past and experience that drinking, especially binge, drinking is absolutely going to cause problems. You're adding conflicting chemicals, one could even say toxins, into the mix...or recipe...imagine a recipe for a cake and you've left out key ingredients and added in fish oil or something else that does not belong...and then wonder why this cake tastes like crap....I am a recovering alcoholic and coke addict so I feel I can say this with some authenticity. I'm in a pattern where I use it every year starting in late September. This was the first year that I had no suicidal thoughts and I'm grateful for Wellbutrin because of that. I got up to 450mg again and stopped it in March because I have to worry about having a manic episode. No side effects this year. Im going to use it during my depression season every year.

How does Wellbutrin feel compared to adderall/stimulants? I have ADD and anxiety/depression, and have been on stimulants for a decade. Now, the side effects of adderrall-horrible anxiety, overactive CNS, etc- have gotten really bad for me, and I am trying to stop adderall. Adderall has become way too intense for me even at a low dose, and is wreaking havoc on my body and causing dealt bad anxiety every day. My doc suggested Wellbutrin. I am concerned that it will feel just like adderall, with all the similar side effects I am trying to get away from. Can someone advise me on this? Does Wellbutrin feel at all similar to adderall in this regard? I don’t want another med that causes increased anxiety.

So I got diagnosed with ADHD & ADD when I was a young kid. I wasn’t medicated at the time because my mother didn’t want me to take drugs at such a young age which is understandable. However I’m 25 years old went to see my psychiatrist and got diagnosed with depression & anxiety on top of ADHD/ADD. I’m currently on Wellbutrin and I don’t feel anything. Greetings from germany. I’m on wellbutrin for 15. days now and I experience fatigue, emotional bluntness and anhedonia. It’s like being depressed but I kind of don’t care… Effects start 3 hours after taking my morning pill. Any experience on that? Should I try taking it in the evening? Thx for any advice!

I’m 1.5 weeks into my 150xl alone. I was taking it for a couple months, a couple ago but I was taking it with other medication so I got off of everything and started out on 150xl with direction from my Dr. BUT does anyone have any issue with head pressure? Not an actual head ache but I feel head pressure a lot. I wonder if it comes from the caffeine intake. The medication keeps me awak all day but I really haven’t stopped the caffeine intake and I have a feeling that’s why I have this headache issue. Anyone else??

Didn't work for me. Started at 150 and started getting depression with my anxiety. Doc upped the dose to 300 mg and I got way worse. I thought i was going to end up in the er.

Im about to switch to this from my ssri, mainly because adderall has been repeatedly losing effectiveness, and the possibility that some of my supposed adhd symptoms might actually be depression symptoms that my ssri isnt effectively treating For my ADHD people: ive been continuously upping my stimulant med dosage. It helps for a few days, then it'll stop having any effect whatsoever. So i take a break for a few days, up my dosage, and repeat the cycle. This has been the pattern for over 6 months. I started out on ritalin, then went over to adderall, which ive been on for 2.5 - 3 months. The entire time, it's been the same pattern, and im now on 2 25mg per day with no sustaining effective dosage appearing to settle in. Has anyone else had this experience? Whatd u do?

Sometimes these types of meds may not have maximum effect until about 2 months but its different for everyone. Hang in there!

Has anyone not gotten anxiety from Wellbutri? I just came off of adderall after years due to worsening side effects and terrible anxiety and physical tension in my body. I’ve been RX’ed Wellbutrin but am scared it will cause a lot of muscle tension and anxiety just like adderall did. Thoughts? Does it feel at all like adderall/stimulants?

I appreciate your honesty. I just started this medication because all others have failed . Making me sick . Ive done ketamine treatments. The ketamine treatments were the most helpful but its out of pocket so my hands are tied . I greatly appreciate your content . I hope the bupropion helps .
