My dad is on this bus. I cannot believe it. Thank you Santa Rosa CityBus for saving his life.

This was one of the most amazing videos I've ever seen. The bus drivers are all heroes, they knew the dangers and went anyway without any fire protection for them or their buses. All the Brookdale staff were heroes too; they could have jumped in their cars and escaped but they stayed until every last resident was safely on the bus. Not one firefighter in sight through the whole trip, they were spread so thin and were going door-to-door warning residents. Not doubt 100's maybe 1,000 people would have died had they not done this at the risk of their lives.

Dude, this bus driver is top notch! That was some scary stuff to drive through and he kept his cool and got those people to safety. God bless everyone who came to help people get the hell outta there. These fires have been devastating. I live 35 miles SW of where the Creek Fire was. The entire summer was filled with smoke.

That is insane! How the fires were everywhere! wherever you turned, when they wanted to escape, they would be met with more fires. I am so glad these heroes were there that day

Please tell me the drivers were awarded with medals of honor, keys to the city, the works. Man oh man. I need a xanax-equivalent just thinking about it!

I am an instructor at Santa Rosa Jr. College and teach Fire Prevention. I would like to request to use your video in my class. If you take the video down the link will not longer work in my class so you have total control of the video. Thank you for the consideration.

God bless the bus service drivers and dispatchers. My cousin saw that fire come within 2 blocks of their house and friends of theirs lost their homes. It was a dreadful year and I pray that we will not have another one like it.

Don't understand why they have trees lining up and down the road only 6 ft from the shoulder in such a high risk area for wildfires

No one ever thought this would happen in Santa Rosa. If you are not from the area what it's hard to se this was in a residential area/ commercial area, and at one point they cross over and then drive right next to a 6 lane freeway that the fire jumped. Brookdale Senior Living was among multiple subdivisions on a hill. Two major hotels burned right where the first stoplight was they encounter. Then across the street to the left was a mobile home park that burned, then they go over a freeway overpass. The Kmart they drive by that's on the left actually burned. Before this fire when have you ever heard of a 150,000 square foot building burning in a wildfire? A Mountain Mike's Pizza and another hotel were lost on the left right after the KMart. To the right a Chevron, McDonald's, Applebee's, and Arby's also were lost. Right after that is another major subdivision also was lost. No one had ever seen a fire like this before. The fire moved 2.5 miles an hour...so basically as fast as you walk is how fast the fire moved. It moved forward about 230 feet a minute. The wind event that happened that night at the time was rare, but in the past few years it is now more common. The last time a similar wind event happened was during the Oakland Hills Fire in 1991. Santa Rosa wasn't supposed to burn like that so the small trees by the road shouldn't of been an issue.

Coffey Park, a generally flat suburb of Santa Rosa, is not a high risk area for wildfire. Several insurance quotes I obtained at the time stated a 0% probability my home would burn down in a wildfire, yet it did.

Troll, you have no idea what you are talking about. Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of burned out home owners are rebuilding their single family homes on their property with hundreds more preparing their lot for construction. This is taking place through out the entire Tubbs fire burn zone including all rural areas. From what I’ve read, single family homes directly conflict with your agenda 21.
@babybrat29585 жыл бұрын
Not Troll, yes a document exists that is called agenda 21. How ever, single family homes would violate agenda 21. People have already started rebuilding their single family homes in the Carr Fire burn zone as well. There’s no doubt in my mind that they will also rebuild Paradise. Do explain how they are implementing it given that single family homes contradict it. I’m not being disingenuous, I’m really curious your take on it now given that single family homes are being rebuilt which contradict agenda 21
