Today was post-op eye exam and I wore a simple black crew-neck long sleeve t-shirt, black jeans, an animal print cardigan with shawl collar and patch pockets that came below my hips, a slightly chunky gold chain necklace about 23" long or so, black and gold earrings and a black wool beret and really rocked it. It felt so good to just feel gorgeous in spite of my orthopedic shoes with foot brace. Nobody noticed my leg strap that holds my AFO in and I totally felt a very young 79. Oh Wow. Erin, love your closet, it seems bigger than my 475 sq ft apartment. I enjoyed watching your posts while you were over in Spain during time of construction of your new house.

Love the beige tonal outfit with vest I have all these items and since my coloring is almpst exactly like yours I will wear this as soon as it is cool.enpugh where I live...winter daytime. When it's super cold outside, I don't opt for mules. I don't mind wearing slingback heels if we are just going from the car to the restaurant, but they would be tough to wear for anything else in my snowy climate. The same goes for dresses...I opt for long dresses in the winter and hide a pair of leggings underneath. xo

Hi Erin…You have taught me so much, that I think before I go out. Do I need to add something before I go anywhere. I am a jewelry person. I had a friend ask one day if I ever went without jewelry…no not usually. I love that the bracelets come in small. I love bangles and have all kinds but have a four inch wrist, and they are too big. I changed my mind and I swapped it out for some Levi's ribcage jeans, a pretty lightweight striped sweater, and some colorful New Balance shoes. Really made a difference with my appearance. There are different ways to be fashionable and casual. I am usually the most dressed up person in a room, and that's OK. Proud fashion designer and lover of fashion. Love your channel!

I really liked the tonal beige outfit with the vest the most! I just want to add, though, that I noticed a lot of people over the past year making comments about how the looks and tips you provide are a little bit out of their financial reach and what I must say is, I know a lot of people are down these days on what they would consider "fast fashion" clothing or items that are not high priced investment pieces, but I truly think that people can find the same style pieces very inexpensively and utilize them within their own wardrobes! I certainly have. I've invested in basic that I couldI, and I know people are very down on Shein,but they and companies similar to them have a lot of things that are very affordable that people can utilize with items already in their wardrobe to create these types of beatiful looks at pennies-on-the-dollar. There are similar companies like theirs that are very health conscious and sustainable too! I mean we're talking sometimes an item may cost $8-$25, and were it at a not very expensive department store, it would still cost 30 40 or $50, let alone Nordstrom and others costing 2,3 or $400. There are so many options for fashion and clothing now that are so inexpensive, yet so stylish. To name a good one, Nordstrom Rack is very affordable, and I feel like the tips that you provide really give everyone at all financial levels the knowledge and opportunity to make people look so elegant and exquisite and it doesn't have to be about sending the message that we're rich, I think it's about looking classy and beautiful especially as we age and can't just look "hot" in a tight tank top and shorty shorts all summer long anymore. At 54, I REALLY love the ability to transform and elevate all of my basic looks with little effort because of the guidance...thank you Erin. I've personally transformed my wardrobe since August of last year watching many videos on YT and especially yours with all of your insightful tips and I truly appreciate you SO MUCH...xo 🥰❤

I just bought the Schultz booties in the Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale in my normal size 8 1/2. I already own a knee high boot from maybe two years ago from Schultz. I was shocked when I tried on the new pair since they were huge! I compared the two pairs side by side and there was a huge difference. Schultz has definitely changed its sizing. Reordered the booties in 8 and they fit like the old 8 1/2. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Enjoyed seeing the outfits jazzed up, and helped me realize I have done that a lot in the past. It's just so had when you can only wear one pair of orthopedic shoes. So, I compensate when I want to level up my outfits to look my best---I use accessories above the waist to draw attention away from the lower part of my body. I hope to get my foot size small again to wear the nice dress shoes in my storage unit, but when a gal has to wear compression socks (I do hope to dye some black, so they don't look as awful as the white ones) and one style of shoe, it's tricky to look incredibly chic. But hey, at one week past 79 and the fact I can still walk, even though with help, I can't complain at all.

Amazon has lots of options for compression socks so you should be able to find black ones. I recently had foot surgery and bought a pack of fun colorful ones just to brighten my mood while recovering at home. Foot issues are difficult. Comfort has to be prioritized, then style where you can! ❤

Sherry, Just FYI: Having foot issues myself,, 😢I found black compression socks at Tommy Copper.😊 You have probably found the wide & stylish shoes available at Nordstrom. They actually measure your foot and are trained to fit shoes! They won't try to sell you the next size up in a Medium! Most of my new shoes have an actual "W" on the box! I rarely buy shoes anywhere else these days. Life can give us challenges. Good luck on your journey!😊
