People commenting stuff like "WTF is this bush?!" and "This is not rock" let me explain it to you. Change is inevitable. You cant expect these middle aged rockers to do the same drunk antics they once did when they were teenagers. They grew up. And their music grew with them. And in today's music industry? This is GOLD. This is a great song. Love Bush

I myself, that is at times have a hard time saying that a band is still the same band even though half of the members aren't original band members anymore. That could be what some people are talking about and the change in sound. This is not the exact same band I grew up listening to, but I am willing to give the newer albums a go.

It's a decent song, maybe it's just the studio production of it that doesn't sound very good. It lacks dimension to me, like something Cold Play would make with Gavin at the helm, but very sterile sounding like they're marketing this to a specific audience that lacks depth in their taste.

Follow me down to the water Through the trip wires in your head Through the seven layers Of your holy bed Where there is no one God But a series of systems I wanna be your savior I wanna be your seasons The only way out is through Lost my mind over you The only way out is through Lost my mind over you Follow me down to the freeway Where the beat goes on And a heatwave blast the night Say what you will but we pray To the God's of our own demise All the time The only way out is through Lost my mind over you The only way out is through Lost my mind over you Let's build a bonfire tonight We'll stay warm in the night time Warm in the night time Follow me down to the water Through the trip wires in your head Through the seven layers Of your holy bed Oooh, Oooh, Oooh Oooh, Oooh, Oooh The only way out is through Lost my mind over you The only way out is through Lost my mind over you The only way out The only way out The only way out is through Lost my mind over you

When Kurt committed suicide back in April of '94. I was 14 than. Bush was trying HARD to uphold the grunge era. ... please bring it back with the surfer cuts and with the flannel. I miss those days with Candlebox, Live,PJ,Soundgarden, STP,and Toad the wet the sprocket. My fav song by Bush is Chemicals between us and Machine Head. Long live the 90$. :-)

1:25 it’s trippy when you first see the nurse walk out forward while the rest of real life is going in reverse. This is definitely one of my favorite music videos of the last 10 years.

Gavin has such a unique voice that he knows hiw to control very well. A voice that reminds me of the early and late nineties when i personally believe rock was at its best. The lyrics, vocals and all around sound was just amazing. Bands like nirvana, creed, breaking benjamin, staind, fuel, the red hot chili peppers, the wallflowers, cold, the cranberries, sarah mclachlin, and bush. Sort of a grunge era, but other rock genres thrived more then, too. I was born in 1992. I really miss the ninties! The great thing about music is that its almost like a time machine. It brings you back to those moments of when you first heard the song or had a great/bad experince that involved the song.
@pranakhan9 жыл бұрын
+Dillon Rogers BEing a teenager back in the 90's, I can't really say bands like Creed or Breaking benjamin, or really Cold or the Wallflowers for that matter, were really on the minds of the youth back then. We had MTV's 180 minutes & Liquid Television, Late Nite to inform us. Word of mouth was more important than digital communication. Bands like Rage Against the Machine, L7 , Nine Inch Nails, & Tori Amos were ripping genre conventions apart in the mainstream along with powerful underground acts like Cop Shoot Cop, Pigface, and Green Jelly. It was music your parents were actually afraid of, and with good reason. It was a dark time, politically and socially, and the best music (just like it did in the 1960's) reflected that.
@henrythegreatamerican81368 жыл бұрын
+Dillon Rogers Your delusional if you think the LATE NINETIES were a great time for rock. That's when the genre failed miserably thanks to all the Godsmack, Creed, and Avenge Sevenfold clones who sounded absolutely dreadful. The early nineties were a good time for rock, but the late nineties? Not sure what planet you were living on.

Agrees. I've been a Bush fan since their 1st song/album and this is truly one of their best songs! To see Gavin live is electric, even at his age now. Sorry to say but vocally, he's better than his ex wife is. His personal life should have zero effect on his band but with social media/tabloids/mindset of people, sadly it does. This song deserves a billion listens, regardless of the video.

i don't get it really. these so-called "fans" bash amazing bands for not making every album sound exactlylikethe first. remember that was 1994 and this was 2014 when it released. times change people. Grunge has come and gone but when bands like Bush and Alice In Chains still have kept alive and went through as many changes, deaths, and break-ups as they did it amazes me when they still make amazing music. i love every Bush album thats been released and to me, the last two, Sea of Memories and Man On the Run are amazing. Gavin has become a more complete vocalist since the Sixteen Stone album and the sound is more fitting for this day and times style and sound. Plus Chris Treynor on guitar has been amazing and his style, technique, and sound complete Gavin's sound and voice. i love Bush and hope they continue this amazing music run. its just critics who will hate because they cant get away from the past.

Thank you I do appreciate it a lot. I'm one that believes in change and growth as a band and bush is one who has done an amazing job of it. Alice in chains does this well too. it's just people who want every album to be what the first or the last album was and no one likes the same thing in every album. That's how you lose your true fanbase.

Wow, this album was yet another bowl of shit soup! Gavin should have renamed the band when he quit his "solo" career. Anything after Golden State is just not the Bush I grew up with. I remember hearing Sixteen Stone for the first time and I was totally blown away and now I listen to Man on the run and I cannot even compare the two bands. It's like comparing carrots to the year 1947. Polar opposites, they are!
@WhereOceansMeeet9 жыл бұрын
***** There were a couple decent songs on Sea of memories but it the album still was no comparison to anything prior to their break up! Oh and how did you not like Sixteen Stone? Mind you, there were a lot of filler songs but the big songs were amazing!
@WhereOceansMeeet9 жыл бұрын
***** Little Thing is also my favorite Bush track, followed closely by Letting the cables sleep. They're the two Bush songs that I can hear again and again without growing tired of them. Sixteen Stone was a cool album when I was younger but now the sound is more nostalgic than anything. Razorblade was good but there were a lot of filler songs as well. Science of things was great but again, too many fillers. Bush is known for that. Their new album is mostly filler songs. The only song I like is The only way out. lol
