I can't begin to tell you, just how much your's and Andy's channels have helped me over the past few weeks. I've been suffering with ill health for some time, and not being able to get outdoors has been making me very depressed. Your wonderful films have really made me smile and got me out there (kind of). Thank you both so much. And happy adventuring 😊👍

Dutch oven cooking, you cannot beat it, we have a wooden tripod over our fire pit where we use our dutch oven constantly even during our winter (-16 C at present) makes lovely bread. Nice buddy weekend! Looks like Andy did a really good job with that stew... dumplings sounds like a really tasty addition, gonna try them in my next pot this winter. Been spending a lot of time outdoors with a friend of the family (my wife's cousin's husband). He is a really good guy and its been real fun getting to know him better. He has access to a cabin in our local foothills and we are planning a rabbit hunt weekend and cooking said rabbits when the weather gets cooler. Keep these videos going, you have a keen eye and a gift for showing outdoor fun! Don't know what I will do once I finish watching all of yours...I guess I'll have to start watching Andy's...lol

Thanks Simon, your canoe camping videos always manage to bring a mellow attitude and relaxed smile to my face. And for me that's the point of canoe camping in the first place. Some folks always want to make a race of it...how many miles can we make by sunset...set up camp by head lamp, break before dawn and race again. I like to leave the rats to race at the day job.

Me and a good mate wild camped on Denny island which is in the top part of the Bristol Channel to raise money for 2 charities, we both slept under the small boat which we used to row between the work boat which took us out and the island.. It was January and we really shouldn't of gone but the pressure was on so we went, we had 5 days and night of 70 to 80 mph winds and bitter cold nights and days.. One night the tides were up and the seas were crashing into the island and sending spray over the island and pounding our upturned boat! It was a brilliant experience but not one I'd do again in a hurry.. lol Luckily the day we were due to be picked up the weather calmed down and we made it home safe.. Another great video..
