It must have rained a lot during the night. The area you plan to camp in the future sure flooded. My vote is for anywhere. You always find great sites. There are some big bugs in Florida. I’d recommend sleeping in a bug net. They have the same spiders as we do here in Louisiana. You may not be afraid of spiders, but I’m not fond of wolf spiders half the size of tarantulas crawling on me at night. In the pine forests here we have tarantulas and scorpions.

Another rainy adventure, you're definitely a more dedicated camper than I am, I'd rather camp in 2 feet of snow than steady cold rain! Don't be ashamed to bring a camp chair along on these trips, I never used to in my 20s but as I get older and after the last couple decades of working in warehouses and factories I found my back to be really messed up, I need that back support.

Another good video, enjoyed it. You may already know this, but thought I'd tell you what I've used to start fires in the rain. Find 4 to 6 inch diameter, dead not rotten pine, fir, soft wood, preferably. Cut 12 inch sections. Split with hatchet or knife. The center will be dry as a bone. Split several pencil size slivers. Great help starting fire, when every thing else is wet. Enjoy Florida, it's almost snake weather here in the south, (I'm in Alabama) be watchful and careful.

I believe you set up by a Snipe Nesting Area . Snipes can be found in various types of wet marshy settings including bogs, swamps, wet meadows, and along rivers, coast lines, and ponds. Snipes avoid settling in areas with dense vegetation, but rather seek marshy areas with patchy cover to hide from predators

You should try a stadium seat. It has a back. I have a padded coleman that rolls up to a manageable, portable size. Its super comfy and has a strong back support. Lightweight too. I broke my back in 2 places in my youth and was prescribed yoga by my surgeons to do daily after I healed. Am 60 now and have done almost daily since then. Don’t over-do it tho - work up to it. Strengthen your core to support your back - yoga is fantastic for that!! Sending healing energy! Thanks for the videos! Its hard work!! ✌🏻 and what you hear is a spring peeper ( a tiny tree frog )!

Beautiful video brother. Nothing bananas about that. I like to set up a larger, higher tarp to stand under and hang my stuff to dry. If need be, I'll set up a smaller tarp under that for more sleeping protection. Now that I'm 60 years my 3 legged chair comes with me. The comfort is so worth the 4 lbs lol. Sitting under the tarp, listening to the rain is priceless!
