Wonderful you can teach a young person all the skills you have learned. The jacket without sleeves is called a vest. You have given me many hours of enjoyment with your videos.
@phillee28144 жыл бұрын
Maybe in American - in English we would call it a Gilet (sleeveless jacket style) or Waistcoat.(smaller with less coverage). I have ones covered in pockets (mostly sold for hunting or fishing) which I find very useful to carry things when I'm in my wheelchair. Mesh back so I don't get all sweaty.
@TheSaneHatter4 жыл бұрын
@@phillee2814 Americans would only use the term, "Waistcoat' when referring to suits and formal menswear. "Gilet" is not in use here to my knowledge: this is the first time I've heard the term.
@phillee28144 жыл бұрын
@@TheSaneHatter But in the UK, "vest" is universally an undergarment, including, but not limited to, singlets and thermal varieties.
@robertmontgomery75144 жыл бұрын
@@TheSaneHatter unless you are an aristocrat, waistcoat is normally not a word Americans use. Most people use vest as the sleeveless top. The term vest is used with many articles of top wear to include a protective wear for water sports and or swimming.

Vanessa: continueing on with your 2 night and 3 day bushcraft overnight stays is simply perfect. The one thing I notice that makes your videos so much better is how when you talk you are talking to everyone who may be watching but it seems you are talking only to 1 person and that would be me. Each of us who watches these videos you seem to only be talking to them... Not a group of people but each individual as if you and them are only ones in the forest together. That makes this so special on your part. Great job... Ich Liebe Dich Soooo

@@WildWomanBushcraft your videos have been inspiring to all of us. I know with everyone here who watches they feel you are talking to only them. It means alot to see such a video, most videos are directed at a entire group but your videos although seen as a group are mainly directed at each one individually. Poves you are very intent on teaching just 1 person your craft. Amazes me how you have worked so hard to accomplish this. Ich Liebe Dish Soooo

I enjoyed your 2 night 3 day video. My wife and I watch your Channel together often. We are pleased that your face appears improved. My wife has a large vegetable garden and we live on a mountain in a heavily wooded area with allot of ticks. My wife suffered a Facial Stroke a couple of years ago due to an infection in her 5th nerve under her neck. She went to the Medical Doctor for treatment and also an Acupuncturist. The Acupuncturist stuck needles in certain nerves in her face to help the nerves heal and function. I'm certain you will fully recover in time. Best Wishes, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family.

Lea's back! GREAT to see her again! Clearly a girl of few words..LOL! I really appreciate your teaching your young apprentice, passing on your passion and knowledge for bushcraft survival. Love the spoons you two made & your cozy camp! You are a fantastic teacher ma'am. BTW I STILL think a giant schnauzer German or Czech bred German shepherd, Bouvier des Flandres, Beauceron (also very good farm dogs!) or a good Rottie would make AMAZING bushcraft companions & provide GREAT PIECE OF MIND for you! I've owned German Shepherds and they're AMAZING with kids, their devotion is stratospheric in level, & easily trained. My Rotties were also easily trained-although my female was a bit reserved with people, much more sharp than my big male-who while a stellar guardian-made a great big-toy for kids & was MUCH more laid back with people! Any of these dogs would make for GREAT PIECE OF MIND out alone in the woods-AND great cuddle buddies when it's cold! Be well, be blessed, be happy Dear Venessa, always.

Hi Vanessa (and Leah .. welcome back 😊) .. A Super follow up to Part 1 .. thank you. Leah is progressing very nicely with her bushcrafting skills 👍 .. but then, she has a good teacher 🍎. Still a bit shy .. but then, similar to somebody else we both know .. some years back .. a quiet little mouse walking barefoot at the back of the group (Sepp's I think?) .. I wonder who? 🤔😉. Pauli really seems to enjoy his comfort .. but then, that is how it should be with our faithful little companions. A very nice Camp Site .. dry and sheltered .. always a good start. Until next time my Dear Friend .. please take care of yourself .. stay alert and safe 👃👂👀 .. LG .. Tommy

Don't you just love that feeling of teaching the next generation and watching them as they are learning and being successful at bushcraft and survival skills? Leah did a great job and it was so good to see her sleep in...you know then that she is comfortable and not cold. You can make kebabs with Salami too....cut thick wheels and put them onto the stick as you did, when cooked, you can scrape them from. The stick into a lovely bit of French stick bread and it tastes delicious. You can also get some sand in a piece of soft natural leather or suede and use it like sandpaper over your new spoons....it looks good when they are finished. Awesome video Vanessa and good to see the equipment is working so well. The lost mic...id get some fluorescent yellow Plasticote paint and spray it, so it's easy to find if lost. Best wishes as always
