I am building a bushcraft survival shelter in the woods using only hand tools. In part 1 I am building the walls of the camp using ancient wood preserving techniques to preserve the wood posts that will hold the roundwood timber frame. In part two I hope to build the roof and bed of the shelter.

I have been watching you for at least 6 years (over 1/4 of my life!). It all started in these woods, with one of the Bushcraft Camp updates showing up in my feed. My life has changed as I have been growing up, but your channel has been a constant. This video makes me very nostalgic to when I was in high school watching 40+ minute videos of this random British history teacher building a camp in the woods. Thank you for this.

Same up mate, subbed long ago with the one that I think eventually had a tower added. I had unsubscribed simply because he had moved on from what I liked. No faulting Mike, he grew and chased his dreams as well as sort to grow his business and I respect that, I just wasn’t interested. Similar thing happened with Alec Steele, loved his earlier videos but his content just outgrew me. This video though has made me resubscribe to TA Outdoors and I look forward to Mike being able to use his own woodlands for started his channel.

Well, that will teach me for commenting before I watched, I feel called out on what I didn’t realise was the first camp, Alec Steele, and Mike building in his own woods. Still resubscribed though. 17:59

I already know now that this will finally give me the last inspiration I need to make this in my own little piece of forest, thanks so much for going at a new shelter build! Just about 3:00 minutes in and I see this stunning airblow-focus technique! Nearly a meter away from the fire... no little tube, nothing! Woodlander's magic! :-)

I'm a huge fan of the channel. It's so informative & inspiring. I'm also watching the mega channels of my indigenous brethren closer to the equator making amazing bushcraft shelters from bamboo, clay, and whatever else they've got access too. They're always taking it to the next level with bushcraft architecture. Their multi million subs reflects their genius building skills with budget machetes, saws, axes, and nails.

Hey everyone, I stumbled upon a new project while browsing through KZbin! It's freebeat's new product, the freebeat Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike. Wow, this is quite revolutionary! The idea of combining indoor fitness and outdoor exploration into one eBike is truly impressive. What sets it apart is the indoor recharge feature, allowing the bike to be charged while in indoor mode. This means we can enjoy a seamless experience, both inside and outside. The powerful 750W motor and the 80Nm torque are just mind-blowing. With its exceptional suspension, puncture-resistant tires, and waterproof finish, this eBike is made to conquer any terrain and weather conditions. And let's not forget about the Smart Saddle Detection+ feature that keeps us motivated and tracks our performance. This is a game-changer, indeed! I'm definitely considering supporting this crowdfunding project. Keep up the excellent work, team freebeat!

You know that the building is destined to fail in the first 90 days. The only way to ensure it stays up is to have dad come out, straighten a used nail, and hammer it into one of the logs. THEN... and only then, will it be secure. Soooooooooooooooo glad to see you back to this kind of content. I love all of your stuff, but this is my favorite.

I remember a couple years ago watching your video on the G stove first, I thought it was not so great or kind of hokey boy was I wrong I finally just got the G stove extra large in the mail. I am totally impressed. That stove is amazingly thick, big and robust. I should’ve got that in the first place than POMOLY. I remember you said it was gonna take the sales like a storm. It really should have. I think that’s the Rolls-Royce of all stoves man you were right I was wrong that’s pretty cool always learning and changing but I tell you I really love that stove.

Visiting the grandkids, it’s Friday night and that’s pizza night. We were waiting on Grandpa to get back with the pizza and I needed the kids (4 & 7) to settle down, so I put this video on, they were fascinated! They asked questions, including what’s his name? I told them Mike, they asked how I knew and I explained that I had been watching these videos for several years. We started a second video but pizza came. we have a tree here in WVa, USA called black locust. when building anything that needs to last, we use them in the ground. they dont seem to ever rot. ive been trying to get a friend to come out to the farm (3 families own it together) and help me build a replica of one of your buildings. we have ALOT of acreage and many trees. i hope if we decide on something not a teepee type one, that we can find enough of the locust for at least the in-ground posts. you hear people saying 'locust posts' because they are so well known for such a purpose. usually for fencing though. ive missed your more ancient types of projects. thanks for another one.
