In my 4th year now. 36 yrs old. 1 roll off truck, about to get a second. 11 roll off dumpsters, 2 dump trailers. A dodge ram 2500 to pull the trailers, purchased by my business. Started with a switchngo, and that's what I have now. Recently learned that the stellar hooklift is compatible with the sng's, which I am completely stoked about. So my new truck will have a stellar, and I'll need to weld on hooks to each of my dumpsters which is more than fine. But this business has been good. Steadily growing. Started with a truck and a landscape trailer. Was inspired by Martin Extrordinair. Not enough people give that guy the respect he deserves. They do quite the opposite actually. But I guarantee, if it weren't for him, many of these guys wouldn't be in business today. But I've watched your content the whole time as well, as well as lifes apprectice, american af, same day, etc.

Started landscaping at 15 got into dumpsters at 20. Got 6 roll offs and a trailer setup. Going to be 22 this year working on restarting a bigger landscaping business. I sold most of my maintenance customers and all of that “lawncare” equipment to grow the landscaping projects.

Been watching your channel for a long time, thanks for the update, nice to see y'all are still doing well. I'm just someone on the sidelines who finds the waste industry interesting but IMO the changes make sense to me. For the residential hauling while you didn't mention this specifically I'd think being able to just run out and buy (or insurance rental replace) another HD pickup quickly in the event of one of them getting hit by a bad driver is yet another reason to stay with more basic equipment if that's all you need. The mini packer was cool but yeah the numbers just don't justify the expense. Curious, are those roll-offs available with some sort of lid cover option? I wonder if in your area you could offer commercial waste hauling to a few accounts that way, where instead of a couple 2yd dumpsters you just have a lidded roll-off bin you pickup every week or two and dump and bring back.
@lakechamplainsanitation72269 ай бұрын
Thank you for the response! 100% agree with the truck replacement being so much quicker in a worst case scenario and they are also way simpler to maintain. They do make roll offs with lids in various sizes and we have been doing some research to see how to be competitive with front load containers from a serviceability schedule standpoint.

Are those single cab fords hooked up to the dump trailer the 6.8 gasser? How do they tow? I currently use a 2013 6.7 f250 and was debating on getting a 6.8 to use as my daily driver and use as a backup truck if the diesel goes down. Because you can get a brand new 2023 single cab for like 44k

@@lakechamplainsanitation7226 @lakechamplainsanitation7226 making a list of questions to ask. Not even sure where to start. I've been down a CDL rabbit hole last few days and my head is spinning. I saw a dot number on your truck so I assumed CDL but I just realized that isn't the case. However I see you have 14k dump trailers which I believe do require CDL??? Another question for the call. Also if I understand correctly a CDL is not required for a hooklift truck with a GVWR less than 26,001#? ❤
