Buttons don't work. New key made for 2012 RAM

The buttons on the customers key didn't work, they were completely stuck so we made him a new key and cut the mechanical key.

You can buy replacement rubber pads, the rubber pad has little metal contacts that are prone to come loose, you can replace the main pad for roughly 15-20 bucks. We offer this as an option if we know the board inside is still good. We offer this is a option first before a new key is offered

Great video. You seem like an expert. I have a question about our 03 Saturn Vue. We have two keys, one that says Saturn and one that says GM on the plastic top of the key. Both unlock, start, run the car etc. However we tried to make copies of the keys, and for some reason NONE of the copies could unlock the car door or start the car. The new keys were cut at two separate hardware stores. I called the dealer and they told me they believe there is no smart chip in the key. What do you think? Bad cuts? Chip in the key after all?

Hey 👋 So I just checked and it looks like 03 Vue doesn't require a chip in the key. So my guess is they cut it wrong and also the chip is only to start the car not to open the door, so you should be able to lock and unlock the door if the key is cut currently.

@@FTRVDenny Very common issue with those fobiks. Probably fix one a week with that problem.

@@LockpickingLoser What do you use? I try to super glue the contact back on to the pad or take a piece of aluminum foil and a hole punch and make new ones but they are definitely very temporary until I get a new shell and pad in stock
