literally can't believe how incredible and fun and powerful this entire evening was. thank you so much to pastor leslie carolina for the incredibly powerful & heterosexual performance in the beginning. yes it's hilarious but i genuinely get goosebumps at how incredible of a performer this woman is. so funny and entirely improvised! and ugh the energy from everyone who came. literally such a beautiful night, it wasnt MY performance it was OUR performance, i cant wait to go on tour and be in communion with you all, it's true we cant recreate this night but we can create many many more unique ones and we will! I feel so privileged to get to see this ✨ The dream is seeing your work live one day (I’m working on selling that kidney for plane tickets to the US) but if you ever tour the UK or NZ I’m the first person there! This has been so thought provoking and has given way to some deep thoughts and philosophical discussions with my friend who is a film student (and loves you too now!) This has made me think so deeply about the connection between cults and religion. I feel that in the modern era the two are so closely entwined and and the lines so blurred, particularly when it comes to mega churches and faith healing. Also the profiteering of churches is wild. “Give all of your worldly possessions to the poor” - pastor lives in a $5 million dollar mansion, what has brainwashed people to follow these people blindly? I wish we encouraged young people to have more independent thought and make up their own ideas, philosophies and moral principles
