This student bought an airplane before they ever got their pilots license and they bought a whole hell of alot of plane for not being a pilot yet. This sure is great motovation to finish your ratings.
Dont put your dreams on hold like she did do what she says follow your dreams of becoming a pilot. She has had one hell of a journey but it makes it so much more enjoyable when you finally do get that pilot certificate.

Quick note on 91.205 and 91.213 - I believe you mixed these up around the 1:12:00 mark. 91.213 references 91.205, not the other way around. 91.205 is the one from which we get ATOMATOFLAMES. Thank you for these mock checkride videos - they’re really helping me prepare for mine that’s in a little over a week!

Hey Cheese Pilot!! Thanks for posting my mock check ride. I did actually take my check ride over the weekend and I passed!!! I will say the oral was 2.5 hours long and by the time we were done the winds picked up - gusting to 33Kts. I however preflighted the plane and it took me taxiing to the runway to finally give in. I looked at my DPE and stated sorry - this is just too windy for me. Sooo - I was able to finish off the flight portion the next day with beautiful weather. I will say he was tough. I thought for sure I screwed up everything while wearing the foggles but I might have won some brownie points identing (is that a word?) the VOR. I greased the landings (except for the short field) - but as you stated - overall all I was not consistently outside the standards. As we were taxiing back to the FBO he congratulated me - to which I told him I was going to give him a big kiss. Ha!! Golly I have never been so happy and relieved. I then got to fly from Spencer IA back to Sioux County Regional at night - solo!! It was amazing. Good luck to everyone!! Safe flying:)

In 1988 as a student pilot I purchased a C150J to get my PPL. Worked out well and still flying today on my 5th plane, about 2000 hrs. & instrument rating. So while I was learning to fly, I also had to learn how to be an aircraft owner - which is as important as a rating!

Its funny, you stated u had really never seen a many UUA pireps. The one u pulled up for Phoenix from the 172 was mark UUA.

Well hello Cheese Pilot!, love the mock checkrides, been following you for while now. Your mock oral checkrides provide new areas to focus on. The last one was excellent (the lady who bought the shark.) As for me, 4 CFIs and 186 logged hrs later, I am finally ready for my private pilot check ride. Now it is a matter of finding a DPE with a date inside 30-45 days. Keep up the great work!

First of all, your video is being pushed by YT today which is how I found you. I listen to Mentor Pilot, Hoover and Blancolerio so I guess the AI determined that I may listen to your video. I may do that later in the evening because of the length. For the record, I like the longer videos which I can listen to when I fall asleep because the sound recording seems decent and sounds good on my Bose 2.2 classics. I suffer from audio hypersensitivity so the sound of a video has a HUGE impact on what I will watch. I often listen with Sennheiser headphones which, while sounding great, they really can enhance poor audio editing where a phone or tablet couldn't detect it. To the point and the reason that I am commenting - If I had the money and the resources, I would certainly buy a plane of my own prior to taking flight training. I'd pick the barn-find cessna that is easy to learn on. I'd prefer to learn on a standard 6-pack analog before trying to move to digital instruments. i wouldn't buy a fancy, slippery rocket to learn on though.

I’m thinking of what you said about Va. 1 full control move below Va is not making sense to me because you’re going slower so there will be less forces on the surfaces. Less chance of breaking off a control surface. I would think that at Va I’m going fast enough to snap something if I pull a full surface in one direction and then swing it in the opposite direction. I don’t think anything will snap off if I’m doing 68knots and do 2 full swings, because I haven’t reached Va. Not that I would try that anytime soon, but you know what I mean?

What I mean is that if you are below Va (lets say va is 95 knots) at 94 knots i can apply one swift control deflection and i wont damage the aircraft. any other swift and full control movements beyond this and im not guaranteed to prevent damage. now obviously if you are at 68 knots there are less aerodynamic forced on an aircraft and you may be able to get away with more than one full and swift control deflection but its not guaranteed to prevent damage

It's pretty straightforward I mean the big lake is kinda difficult to land it most days most towns are pretty comfortable with you flying into bodies of water near them I like technically Racine is against seaplanes

@@mynefield tbh just call the local town around the water your interested in and ask make sure you get a name and their job title you can also call the local police department just to make sure
