I love the floating shelves!! 💜 The only thing I would have changed was to make the interior of them taller so they could fit shoes inside. Wig/shoe display could have been even more functional and still beautiful. What a great concept thought 🔥

It was funny watching Alexandra look at the DIY. I half expected her say “Just go with the DIY.” The DIY was amazing. However as always the buy nailed function, especially the wig hangers. Like, who knew such a thing existed? The thing the DIY did that is my motto for decorating for someone else is that is should look like the client designed it, and Dani nailed that.

I think best would be keeping both! Plus adding some great shoe storage that shows off the shoes and protects them if needed (especially if rarely used and expensive), like maybe clear box for each pair. Or opaque boxes with photo of the shoes on each. But I know they had limited time and budget.

Both solutions were great at addressing part of the problems. The BUY was really a better solution for dresses while the DIY was better for wig display. Neither of you took her shoes into account. That DIY could have totally been great shoe storage by adding another inch or so to the height.
