Picked up a Buyang 125cc at a yard sale for $90 and had to put it back together, wiring was bad, ignition broken, push button start broken. Newb here and had never ridden a 4 wheeler. Carb was replaced on mine as was the clutch so I wanted to check out a video on them that was inclusive of some of the reasons why it wouldn’t run, good job on this one it was very informative.

they aren't actually "automatic" it's really just a single speed. the only thing automatic is the clutch. I did see a video by Harvey spooner were he found one that actually shifted on its own but I'm gonna guess those are super rare

Hey dude amazing video, very well explain but I just have one question. I got it on Second hand 1 week ago, the baterry was "dead" so I charge it with a proper 12v baterry charger. Clean the carburator and it works just fine. Today night I take the atv and maybe drive 10m just for fun and lights on. Turn it off and when try to start again baterry was dead. Can this be a baterry problem ( the day I charge it I stop start many times, and the baterry always have enough power to rotate engine, but today maybe because of the light is "dead" again I guess. This can be because the atv charger device is not working properly? Who is it called? This atv have one right? Can you help me please. Great video
@EliminatorPerformance5 жыл бұрын
Start your ATV, and let it run at idle, then take your multimeter and put it on your battery while it's running If it had more volts while it's running, then it does when it's not running, the charging system works. You may have a parasitic load, draining your battery, Google how to test for a parasitic load.
@franciscocavalheiro40645 жыл бұрын
@@EliminatorPerformance but when I start the atv today it start pretty quickly and easy but the second try after 10m no power. The outher day I run like more than a hour and always start so I think shouldn't be a parasite load but I will see if is charging or no thank you one more time.

@Elrodriguez6665 жыл бұрын
The one that comes out of the air filter attached to the carburetor
@EliminatorPerformance5 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking it's the rubber boot you're talking about? Either that or a crank case breather tube. The boot should come attached to a new filter, your band clamp goes around it. Other than that, I'm having a hard time thinking what hose goes to the engine from the air filter

That engine is supposed to use petrol 95 octane or 98? As a 4 stroke only need petrol and no oil I m correct?
@EliminatorPerformance5 жыл бұрын
Yes it takes straight gas, you can use 87 octane there's no need to run premium fuel, just be careful and watch how much ethanol is in the fuel as more ethanol is used in lower octane fuels, that stuff will break down and gum up the carb and eat fuel lines.

The oil that's supposed to be used is 10-40 very twin oil because they have a wet clutch. If you live in a hot climate then locus 20-50 v twin oil is recommended. China has different specs on oil then the US and Canada. The majority of oil in China is a wet clutch or v twin oil.

Check for spark and do a compression test first. I learned that from another channel. A bad carb won't matter if you need top end work. I can't believe how cheap those parts are to replace!
@mondude97542 жыл бұрын
the easiest test is just to spray fuel down the intake and see if it fires up. if not check for spark, if it has spark then compression test. I only say this because most of the time they have good compression

Couple of things. Never, ever, ever rebuild a carburetor that cost $10 to $15. Time is money and your wasting time rebuilding, and costing the customer more money. Change it and be done with it. Spark plug gap is .025 on these, not .030. Oil is 10W40 or 15W40, not 10W30. You don’t have to worry about wet clutch oil, as these have separate gear boxes. And 15 PSI in the tires is 3 times too high. Every kids ATV I have ever owned said 5 PSI maximum on the tire pressure. Great video!!!
