This was helpful to understand the current best traits available in C-store for energy weapon builds. I'm glad you and other really dedicated STO players take time to share this information with us. I've been playing since beta, but honestly, I typically get to play only an hour or two a night, and I do not buy zen regularly. This kind of info helps players target what they can spend better, and perhaps highlights how to better use traits they may already have unlocked.

14:09 - I can't wait for an EPG/CtrlX video. This is still useful advice, especially since I rarely play beams and generally main exotics, though I'm currently at impasse when it comes to minmaxing my Verne, as after the first five traits, the remaining two aren't obvious no-brainers, and I typically end up cycling through a couple in response to the RTFO I get dropped in; the remaining traits feel too "it kinds depends" and aren't as obvious as, say, IPO/IGW/EM/SIA, even with the same BOFF ability layout.

Yeah it’s in the works just been a few months since I’ve played epg and wanted to firm up some details, not sure what day but it’s coming I’ve got 2 different builds on this subject too so it’s gets a bit more in-depth as I’m sure you’d know

There were better TFOs, one was a huge map mission, that you could have had as many players as you wanted.

Fantastic guide for the new players I am glad to see people still focusing on budget builds and new players. I do have one question as a long term player is tanking actually viable in modern STO? I have seen a lot of discussion saying that tanking is pointless because tac builds will deal so much more damage the tanks just can't generate enough threat to pull agro.

Tanking is still 100% viable unless you have 100% sensor phantom from the cyclone uptime there are some tfos that just do to much damage for dps to deal with plus having someone running suppression Barrage 3 to cut the enemy damage in half really helps on random outgoing damage

Supercharged Weapons probably isn't the best to run with the Maelstrom because it only has a duration of 20 seconds while the maelstrom has a 25 second cooldown, so you'll end up losing the stacks.

Mate. I appreciate you are trying to get a channel off the ground and the info is great. Just a recommendation though is you need to not do videos when you're constantly sniffling and coughing. It's not professional and a distraction from what you're trying to communicate. Take a codral or some medication. Just a suggestion.

It doesn't really bother me personally. If anything I'd say it makes the atmosphere feel more down to Earth, but perhaps I'm in the minority I do not know :p

think you need to do an Endeavor video and stress how important they are for improving your stats, I'll watch new/casual player streams/videos on here and Twitch and I see sooo many of them just ignoring them or not understanding the concept
