Buying 911 Turbo 500 miles away on Isle of Mull - A High Risk Porsche Roadtrip! 997 Gen 1.5 Aerokit

As soon as I was offered this last Mezger engined 911 Turbo 997 Gen 1.5 with the Factory Aerokit I wanted it for our stock, but it was 500 miles away on the Isle of Mull in Scotland! This meant a 2-day roadtrip from South East England, in a car I hadn't seen, a risky undertaking.

Having stayed on Loch Awe many times on holiday & 2 years ago in my 981 Boxster S stayed in Oban for 4 nights on my 4500 mile UK road trip. I instantly recognised the section at the foot of Ben Cruachan.

Awesome car 👌🏻 I had the same 2008 Gen 1.5 997 Turbo in white with all the same spec, apart from the aero kit and the gearshift paddles. Ready miss that car….Downgraded to a manual 981 GTS now.

Has it been sold yet Raj ? I have driven 997.1 turbo and I was mesmerised by the power I would definitely consider the 1.5 version as the interior is slightly better and of course, the other changes you mentioned.

Hi Raj, that’s a beautiful 997 turbo!!! The gen 1.5 997 turbos I’ve been told in manual roughly only 50 manuals came to the UK do you know how many were coupes and how many were convertibles. The

Have you ever thought of expanding globally? 😅 I’m based in Australia, and whilst we have Porsche specialist dealers, few and far between are as dedicated (in my eyes) in terms of ensuring every aspect of the car is attended to with the upmost transparency. Awesome work mate.
