I agree with you Chris, nothing wrong with negotiating. Further to your point, if you don’t like the offer. Just say no. That guy must have been a real turd. One of the many reasons I like watching your videos is because you don’t complain, have a great attitude and I never hear you dog on anyone! Man this old video brings back memories. I may be 58 years old now, but when I was in my very late teens or even early twenties, I bought an almost pristine 1986 ATC 250 R. Mine had ITP Holeshot tires all the way around, I did the 1989 CR 250 R head & base gasket trick, DG Pipe and silencer, Boysen "Power-Bowl" and properly jetted for the whole set up. It was absolutely spot-on and trouble free for every year that I owned it. You are right about the market. I know this video is three years old, but it's even worse now. If I had only known. I eventually sold it but, my God do I wish I still had it. Nowadays, one like I had in the condition I had it in our selling for like $10,000. Well, you could probably get a really nice one for $8500 but it's just unreal what they're getting for them.

I agree with everybody commenting about the first interaction you had. It sounds like he really just wanted to play like a tough guy. I don't know why somebody would be so downright rude and just plain wrong. The other thing is too, I'll bet you if pushed too far, someone like Chris could probably hold his own. I have a feeling he's like me… He doesn't want trouble but if it comes to it he knows all about grabbing the nearest pipe wrench or large screwdriver or whatever he can get his hands on to really bust somebody up. Like my dad used to say… "Kiddo… Try not to get into any fights. But if you absolutely have to, you are not fighting to be fair , you are fighting to win so do whatever it takes"!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Some of my best fun chilhood memories, and most epic injuries, were formed riding 3 wheelers thru the woods and fields of upstate NY!! 😊 ❤ Started sixth grade with a huge scabbed over scrape across the whole right side of my head & face, was looking down, going at speed, when i should have been looking ahead to see the big pine branch overhanging the trail. Knocked me off the bike and ofc superficial head injury = LOTS of blood but no real damage, luckily. I rode it home. I was treated like a superhero that first week of school 😂 and each time i told the story it got a lot more dramatic.

In the 80's I did an ATV training day at a Honda dealership in Indiana. I was on a little 110. The first hill I went up, my foot dropped off the peg, and got pulled under the tire. I didn't fall off, and some how managed to pull my leg back out. It hurt like a son of a, and the back of my legs was a bit chewed up. But I kept it a secret from dad. For fear that he wouldn't let me ride my dirt bike when I got home.

Right On! Grew up on a 1984 Honda 200S, and a Yamaha 200L. The Honda always was reliable, eventually the tires gave out, the Yamaha always had trans shift problems, rear wheel bearings replaced with automotive ones-cost, and was finikiy and the tires rotted out too-then the Yammy siezed. That Honda tho, just had a sound, and was always faithful. Miss it, even though I have a comfy quad. Both were sold together, running, and the Yamaha smoked burned blue.

That’s funny. I gave away a 1985 Honda 250ES last fall as I got sick of it taking up space. It had 3 yo gas in it and it started right up and drove it up the ramp into his pickup. Funny thing, out of boredom I changed all the wheel bearings, brakes and cables on it right before I parked it. Th rear fender was pretty broke up because of deep lug tires similar to a farm tractors. When I put those on it was like a whole new machine on the muddy trail I’d run it on. Many times with the newer tires I’d would go through stuff that with the stock tires I’d have to get off and push. The 250ES is over 400 lbs, but it has full suspension, kick start, shaft drive, super lower and reverse. .Pushing 70 I like my 900 EPS side by side better. Keep riding and have fun. BTW I have a chipped tooth from eating those handle bars 20 some years ago.

I had someone bug on me like that too, I drove from NY to OH to find out the tractor he e-mailed me pics of wasn't even the one he had listed so I made a smartass lowball offer like 2 grand less. It came close to getting physical and the cops actually came, I explained to the cops what happened and they said the guy had done this before. Weirdest part was the guy then accepted my offer and I was like F@CK YOU, went home with an empty trailer. It works both ways too, I had a Tundra that was perfect mechanically but the frame had cracked and the truck was bent like a taco so I had it up for 900 bucks and some clown comes up and offers 200 I was just like "Oh I forgot it's already sold BYE" and told him to split but the truck was worth way more than 9 in parts and his offer was just wasting my time. Your offer was totally legit and the dude was just a d@ick that's in it for profits.
