Kage I use the long bow with iron arrows and it's a one shot head shot on everything except wisen and bear and the arrows don't have any durability % they never break ... that's my experience. That was yesterday the 24th after the update

I spent a little more than half a day mining. Got mining XP and tons of iron. Made 89 Iron hammers. More XP. then sold the hammers. Took three days to sell them all because people ran out of money but it was a ton of XP and I ended up with over 6k in gold. Bought some fat ass pigs. now manure is rolling in and NPC is scooping poop so I dont have to. :)

I've not failed a quest personally, but it does say somewhere in the in-game information that you will fail the quests if you let the seasons change. I definitely read that in the game. And also, Kickz did an experiment where, after he found out firewood usage goes up considerably during the winter, he upgraded the house walls to stone and it cut the firewood usage by quite a bit.

Yea you have the whole season to do the quests, you can buy a recurve bow from Lesnica. They have alot of advanced tools there

1:55 This is true. It's when the season changes that Side quests on the map refreshes and thus any outstanding Side quests that you took will fail. Some Side quests that have a timer has to be done immediately before the timer runs out. Best to take and do Side quests on the first day, especially those that need to be done at night. 12:29 It depends on where you build. I had a wild pig come into my village.

So far it seems like the diplomacy skill is for future content, bartering, shop keeper, dialogue, negotiation etc. Also try giving your town people iron tools to increase productivity speed, no idea if it'll work since i dont play the game but heck worth a try.

You need sticks in inventory to place blueprints for fences/palesides. In the video when u tried to place the paleside and the fence, in the lower middle screen it says ,,not enough resources". I encountered same problem and saw verry hard that text on the screen. I luv ure vids. Good luck!

Some of my experience: food storage is way to small and getting farming up to unlock food 2 or even 3 takes ages (210 fields maintained by player and year, converting 50 plots of flax and 80 plots of wheat and still not at required skill after 5 years, gone for pigsby to have menure to fertilize fields with 3 pigs) Married inga from village north of castellan, level 10 farmer (works in inn) but her parents moved to my village, both being traders, so i am selling every season stuff for 2k gold to them IN MY VILLAGE I have 2 lumberjacks, 2 hunter/gatherers, animal keeper and a miner, have 822 rep and next wanderer requires 3k reputation, having 4 kids and 3 foreigners in my village... Its a nightmare! Stones i use for stone walls to level building skill, 8 stones for one piece, logs for palisades... Picked a good spot to grow super tall, between castellan town, denisa and branica. Highly recommended, very central, some streets, maple trees, deer ground, reef...

@Sharky & George upgrading only adds the white look to walls... If you want to use stone walls or wooden tiles, destroy wall/roof and change material by pressing 'e' before building... Stone walls last 4ever, lost less than 10% durability in at least 3 years

I know that this comment will probably make someone angry and/or was in the comment section before. For anyone that cares about the proper way of saying the names of the in-game villages - it's quite simple. It's not "Hornika", "Baranika", "Branika", like the name "Monica". The proper way is to say "tsa" instead of "ca [ka]". So Baranitsa', Branitsa' and so on. Because the names are based on Slavic languages [mostly Czech, Slovak and Polish] just for example the name *Hornica* can be said in couple o' ways. In Polish the best equivalent would be "Górnica" [ *G oo rni tsa* - or something like that].

There is a quest where you need to bring someone rare mushrooms. I'd save a handful of each so you can fulfill it.

I believe you are correct. The 4/4 water skin has a durability of 62% and then after the quest same durability but reads 3/4. Plus the inventory count reads 1 both before and after.

I have a suggestion. As someone who likes to take hikes and walks, I've learned that roads are easier on the body than running or hiking in the woods. So, wouldn't it be nice if stamina was used a third less while on a road than in the forest? And wouldn't it also be nice if you could move perhaps 15 to 20% faster on a road than in the woods? It "could" make for faster travel. So, DEVS, maybe keep the current rate of stamina drain and speed while moving in the forests, but increase the speed and reduce stamina use on roads.

I've been making torches since I got the hunting lodge setup. 4 gold for the leather, and 2 for the sticks so 6 gold v the 18 for the torch. And crafting xp. Its great

Tip I found is to make sure your chicken coup is properly fenced off before you buy the chickens otherwise they roam around and you can't pick them up. I screwed that up today lol.

Leave the All the gathered Mushrooms and Berries in the Hunting Lodge. That way your villagers won't eat them, and you WILL need them on occasion for random quests (usually when they are out of season) All Quests reset at the end of the Season - Only the Hunters Challenge is 'timed' The "Night Hunt" quest can be started straight away, you DO NOT have to wait till night time. Just start killing wolves, bears, and hogs (as sometimes the quest has different requirements) At the start of each Season, always carry a Recurve Bow, around 5 of each seed type, and some sticks and stones to make Stone Axes with. The ggrrriiinndd to 1000 DP is painful, but if you do the random quests each season, you will get there.

You can craft bags with your character, 3 leather each. There’s an online list of all vendors per city with their inventories. You can do the recurve bow quest by purchasing one for 700 gold which imo, is far more costly than earning 2 dynasty and 20 skill points in building or whatever.

I agree, i have both and chickens are noit worth it for the eggs, unless youre into special cooking recipes, I like to farm and making manure is better than buying it at 10c per. Pigs cost 1500 and hogs are 2000, my guess is they will breed over time

Your videos show you have a season to get quests done at least yours did for the berry one you had fail. Maybe clothing should be tied to rep gain for quests and cleanliness could be added to a charisma stat with that, makes quests give more and it could boost diplomacy with potential settlers. Would boost why clothes could be worth it. Pass it on if you like the idea, also great videos. Keep it up, thanks.

my fields like others are broken. they would only do half the job then stand around. but make sure you do the cooking. and thrashing of the wheat etc. your crafting skill will increase greatly by doing so. i increase my crafting by 700 - 900 per season from cooking the meals and thrashing my harvest

when quest is time base you will fail if you dont finished it at that time you will fail that quest (you should be able to see time on the journal) but most of the quest will fail when seasons end and you will fail that quest if you haven't finished it yet on that season that you accepted that specific quest like the gathering quest, crafting quest and such thats my experience so far from failing quest except the bug quest loving the series btw :D keep it up

They should add a trader job or caravan trader for you workers, that way that diplomacy on NPCs is useful and you got someone to sell or automated income on your town.

You should be able to make the simple sack in the 'Q' crafting window. And yes, the 3/4 on the water skin indicates there are 3 of 4 drinks available to that item.

I bought a longbow and it's pretty good. Not amazing or groundbreaking, but after 1 headshot deer are slow enough that you can kill them pretty easily, and most animals only take a couple of headshots to go down. Haven't actually used the regular bow yet or the recurve, so I don't know it's performance compared to other bows.

What I was selling was iron arrows. After mining a ton of iron I did some testing with most of the iron items you can craft. It came down to the iron arrows and the iron hammer. Iron arrows take 10 sticks and 10 iron and you make 50 for that and they sell for 7 each. The hammer takes 5 sticks and 2 iron for 1 hammer. The arrows are way lighter then the hammers. For 50 iron arrows you get 350 gold. For 5 iron hammers you get 350 gold. But for the extra 5 sticks you can carry way more on you when you go to sell. So I just sold the iron arrows and the first village with tax guy has 5 merchants to sell to. Hope this helps.

In this game you can be mediocre at everything or specialize in one technology Tree and Excel at that one technology. Eventually you'll get to everything either slowly or through specialization or prioritization.

kage, I recommend not selling all berries because if you get the starving hunter quest and it needs berries then you will be able to complete it. or sell them all and just quicksave, both work

Some quests have a time limit (hours). To my knowledge you have a whole season to do most quests if the quest doesn't have a time limit.

Long bow is pretty good, pretty sure the Recurve is better, but the crossbow isn't that great. Very slow load speed and it doesn't stay loaded at the moment. If it did, the crossbow might be nice. The key with the bows are that you have to hit the target in the head.

I found that making iron arrows is a good way of making money, you make 350 per batch and you can carry thousands of the arrows around at a time

Turn rocks into throwing rock. 1 rock make about 4 to 5 throwing rocks. Throwing rocks sale for about 2 gold each. So you make about 10 gold per 1 rock

Kage, longbow+iron arrow are a win in my book. I never messed with wood or stone arrows. I went straight to making iron ones. I made 100 about 5 seasons ago and I'm only down to 40 (most lost because I'm lazy cause I didn't feel like getting my stray shots).

Do you even sleep good sir? (Not a complaint) - Edit: What I do is pick berries in the summer and stash it in a chest, that way you are always ready for the berry quest. Also you can craft or steal buckets and fill them with water it weighs less then waterskin and lasts much longer.

Maybe that quest you took and failed was on the last day of the season. They probably don't give you a season worth of days to do it, just til the end of the season you take the quest on.

The quests expire at the end of the seasons in my game. But I don't have the alwin story quests. So maybe they are not the same in every game? Some Alfa bugs perhaps?

Iron Arrows are good way to make money. they just take iron and sticks. they are very light to carry and can be sold for very good money!

I love this game almost as much as Kage. However, I'm stuck because I cannot find any wolves to hunt and thus cannot complete the main quest or the side quest. Anybody know where to look for wolves? or is it a "when" question? do I need to wait until dark? Thanks. Also, thanks Kage for introducing me to this awesome game!
