Another tip. You ahould put a resource storage at the unstuck location. Huge help! A fun idea for people just starting, you should build your village at the unstuck location and you have instant transportation to your village from anywhere on the map!

if you carry a torch, you can equip it and wave it at wolves, especially the packs, and they will get scared off.

12:25 IT's important to mention too, it will reduce your wood demand, I read somewhere in a previous video, moving houses, sticks to stones it's not worth it. this human he's totally wrong. By changing my houses all in stone and getting all building tier 2 and 3 my demand went 9.7/hours to 2.6/hours big difference so now I can spend winter with my wife and kid at home instead of going out wood chopping

When you first place a new house you also get the option to edit each piece with the “e” key. If you change it to stone, wood, etc and then build you never have to tear down the walls later and make your peeps unhappy. The daub upgrade can be applied on wattle, wood, or stone walls and greatly reduce the wood consumption.

Kage848 To build a stone house right off the bat all you have to do is press “e” before you build the wicker wall. For example, choose a house, grab the logs to build. Build the frame. When looking at the white ghost wall, door, or window, press “e” and select the options you want. No need to build and destroy for stone walls. All other buildings are preset for their tech level.

The year 5 tax quest is supposed to not charge the years tax upon completion but it seems to be broken. I completed and still had to pay taxes even though the quest dialogue specifically states you won’t have to pay if you collect all the taxes from the quest line.

Just a few notes on the sub-quests you had to do to complete Uniegost's huge long quest... When you went south to Hornica, if you had turned around after speaking with the woman, her husband would of given you the 2 iron hammers for free. When you went to Lesnica and the wife wanted 3 iron arrows, you failed to go back and speak to the husband. You would of noticed that the husband sells iron arrows.

The Dagonert question mark was not a bug. The first lady gave you 2 tunics and told you you needed to get 2 axes from a Jan, then you could deliver it all to Dagobert and the money he gave you would be the tax, but Dagobert wouldn't accept partial Deliveries.

Ironically, to save time, you skipped and rushed all the dialogue from the quests. Which resulted in you running all around the map far more than necessary lol

try geting 5 points in diplomacy, put in second and fifth skill on the three(not sure but test it) so u can open bonus dinasty reputation +60% from quests, also crossbow and iron bolts 1 hit headshot anything but slow reload.

I like farming gold in summer. Collecting berries is fast when you get 3-5 per bush. I noted where big areas of bushes are and just run around. I usually can collect about 1000 gold a day for 3 days. Then found habit of collecting sticks off ground as I walk/run to towns, (easier to see in winter and can grab without stopping). Had $6500 gold last tax time.

Save up leather and turn them into bags. You get 11 gold each and you can carry a lot of them. I turn out killing a lot when I am out, mostly wolves and bear that get in my way, but I will not pass up a Bison or boar either and my daily rabbit from the trap. I let it pile up for a while and after I get about 150 or so I turn it into small sacks (3 leather each). So not only are you selling it for almost 2x the gold, but you also get the crafting experience. I sell mostly these and iron hammer. They need to fix reputation though. It will take me 10 years to reach 750 reputation so I can take likely 2 more villagers but I can build at least 16 buildings. Well I only need 4 houses for my 6 villagers and me, so I can have as many as jobs for 28 as the coops hold 1, most of the others hold 2, and the farm allows 10. I think they should have village leaders like the tax collector in the starting village, that give you bigger missions worth 25 points and actually show you exactly what the mission is before you take it so you can say no.

Under the Diplomacy skill, level up Diplomat, which gives 20 per cent more dynasty reputation from challenges. When you travel to the more remote villages, craft and sell until you deplete the merchants of their gold.

Just a note. Take 3 iron arrows with you. The iron hammers can actually be aquired from Jon or Jan at the first stop on your list. He wants to wrestle you but ends up being a chicken in the dialog. He will give up the hammers if you are successful in your dialog.

Dagobert, the guy you went to in Denica, is the guy you deliver the two hammers and the clothes from the first lady to. He gives you the money for the delivery to pay her taxes.

Also, at least it was in my game, once i got the reward for running all over the map collecting their taxes, i checked my journal and low and behold I still had my pay my taxes mission available. So I paid mine as well. Don't trust him not to charge me double the next year and my taxes are over 1000 so I don't want them doubled.

Potage, and foods/items in general sell based on their condition. From a quest (don't remember what quest it is), you can get a stew that is at 2000% condition and you can sell that for a lot (i wanna say 300). So, the potage you sold was probably at 50% condition as it sold for 7, and at 100% it is 14 (15 if you have skills for better sell prices).

Good spot for second village is by the North Stone mine. I end up with so much rock, I just built a resource bldg then just started building some houses/etc there just to use the rocks. Who says you just need 1 village? Then, when I go to do some mining, I just move into a house there and stay for a while.

You can get two Iron Hammers from the same guy you can get pickaxes from instead of having to make them yourselves. I went there to sell stuff and got them from him before I went to Dag or whatever his name is.

Not sure if you have learned this or not but you can reduce the amount of wood your people consume by using better building materials to insulate their houses. Also not sure you noticed but salted meat gives -2 water.

if you headshot wolf in the head with a spear you'll insta kill them. you won't lose damage when skinning so if there's another one nearby just quickly heal then continue atttacking the wolf that appeared.

Potage sells for 14. The Potage you sold was probably partially spoiled (50%). When it's 50%, you get 50% of the money.

I was destroying my fields because otherwise it required manure to plant new crops. Of course, the update .1.1.0 now makes manure required every time, sadly. I’m curious about the cudgel. The description says it’s for knocking out pigs. Any idea if we can knock out wild boars to establish a pig farm? That would be an entertaining mini-game all on its own!

@@bothellkenmore I know that as far as hunting them to kill. In fact, I now have the crossbow and can 1-hit the wisent and bear if I hit on the head. My curiosity was for the use of the cudgel and that it would be fun to charge wild boars to capture for a pig farm. I think it is meant just for the pigs we buy but I have so much meat I see no point it making a pig farm as it is.

Food dose go bad. If you have food on you when season changes it loses half it condition, but not when its stored in village.

Not sure if you know this already, just got my hands on the game and tried debugging the shiz outta the farming. Farmers don't work unless you watch them, period. Best to set all villagers to farm for one day or at least three, one to fertilize, one to till and one to sow. Much quicker. Only alternative is do it yourself. I have so much food I have to sell it. No need to gather berries or sticks. P.S. Field worker jobs are best set by talking to them in person, quick save after you have assigned fields and workers, then load. Works a treat.

I harvest everything myself and then set the field workers. I wait for them to lay down the manure and then I hit each square with my hoe. Then they will plant right away. works like a charm and I don't have to buy manure. Teamwork!

I've enjoyed the series as a whole and I hate to say this but this is getting increasingly more frustrating to watch as time goes by. During quests, it feels as if you are rushing and not reading what to do, and making many mistakes now. Like simple things. I.E you wouldnt have to pay tax if you did the quest for Uniegost but you paid it straight away as if you were in a rush (this could be tax for the following year though, I am not certain). He explained what to do but only after paying him, you then found out you had to just talk to people. The question mark on Dagobert being the turn in for the quest from Karolina to help her pay her taxes - you got the tunics from her to give to Dagobert, but you needed 2 iron hammers to turn it in. It was written there but you didn't know why you got given them. You figured it out of course but you are doubling back. It is early access but alot of time had gone into making those quests. Please, stop rushing, slow down a little bit and read the dialogue, you are making frustrating mistakes. I don't think I am the only one who feels like this. I'd hate for this to push people away

You don't even have to do it out loud. I get you just wanna get on with the gameplay, but quests are a part of the game too just like mechanics and graphics. They are part of the story. Here's a tip: don't get a wive until you have 6 villagers. I could no longer add villagers at 6 but i could still marry. I therefore now have 8 villagers (including wive and child) at the same village level wher you have 6.

Make sure you max out the approval with the vendors you like to sell to I believe it affects the prices.

@Kage848 the difference in pottage prices might be due to approval rating or their diplomacy skills, all the people you deal with are at approval rating 50% cos you don't ever try to improve any of their thoughts about you, most RPG's have a system where you make more money if the NPC likes you more , also you roasted the salted meat, salting it probably makes it last longer and then cooking recipies with the salted meat may give different stats but by looks it'll just be base states

Kage, please look at iron arrows to sell. You can make 50 arrows and each one sells for 7. Also, when hunting I get alot closer. You can walk up and even sneak. But I find I just walk up, crouch and head shot with arrow. Try it.

that iron hammer is in a bad way, they need to change its design. the mushroomed edges on the face aren't a design, they are a flaw! the iron deforms on the impacts and gets that way. the edges need to be ground off or forged back or they can break off on impacts and cause serious injury! point is you don't want a mushroomed looking hammer face those are dangerous.

they fixed some quest's and upped dynasty reputation on some if you restart the game you would have 1k dynasty reputation by now
