Glenbrook was my 1st choice for a new engine. I understand why you went with Zooma as your first, but it really set you back a good deal. Around 21:45, discussion about going No.2 while on the train, fun fact: I do remember the sign "Do not use while the train is in station" and the toilets literally ending with an open hole. I work on a navy ship, you'd be surprised by how often the toilets back up or effectively explode. One of the bathrooms I was in charge of was connected to another bathroom that had been clogged, and they didn't shut the valve that connected my bathroom with that one when they went to unclog it. The way they go to unclog them usually is putting 150psi water down the toilets to blow it out to the CHT tanks. My bathroom's toilets became geysers with 60ft worth of piping coming out. There ended up being about 4 inches of CHT in the bathroom that we had to clean up, and the bathroom was about four times the size of the bathroom you'd find in a restaurant or something. It was by far the worst smell I have ever experienced.

Kan, If you can, try out making some bowl tracks. They are amazing! Humps yards are okay. But bowl tracks are what Jesus would use in his rail yard. Or “shunt yard” as you say. It’s like a shunt yard rail but each rail line in the yard has a little ever so slight dip in the center of the rail line so that the cars roll towards the center. It makes kicking cars much simpler.

And now Kan has experienced what I had to deal with for 2 1/2 hours the other day. Trying to pull my 13 cord wood cars & one caboose out of smelter valley, ended up with me only getting 12 cars and the caboose out because I had just had it. And with a Cooke 2-6-0 lead engine with a Cooke 2-8-0 road engine, power wasn't the issue. I de-railed the caboose first which was tied in behind the Cooke 2-8-0's tender while I was using my Porter 2 to shunt the cars together. The de-railment ripped both tenders and the 2-8-0 off the tracks and sent the caboose gods know where (I never did find it and had to reload without saving to get it back, smh). Then I just used the double headed engines to shunt everything together, and upon leaving the shunting area onto the main line, one of the cars in the middle of the train decided to do a backflip. So, I re-railed it AGAIN and let it just gravity role back into the cord wood drop off point at the smelter, and re-linked the cars that remained. Right as I cleared the final hill to the flat Y I have out of the valley my 2-6-0's tender just decides to go nose down and pulls a stoppie so the 2-8-0 could shove it off to the side of the tracks for no reason. The whole time I'm only using the 2-8-0 as an extra push force for the 2-6-0 when it needs it (because the 2-8-0 will de-rail the whole train if it gets up to its max speed). I don't know if there is a major issue with the jointing between two track sections or what, but I have already started laying track in smaller lengths, and had to raise a problematic switch like 3 feet to hopefully fix an issue I keep having over and over when leaving my lumber camp.

Those paint gears sound very similar to airless sprayers. The ones I've worked with are just like you described but with a hose running through them, and the gear would pinch paint into sections of the gears. Eventually leading to the nozzle tip and you would spray your paint/clear coats. Milk/cream automatic dispensers work with a similar design using a hose and pinch gears. They obviously don't need to spray out, so they don't have any nozzle tips and very little pressure.

A member of my model RR was trying to model the Green Moutain. He spent about 5 weeks of the building sessions at one of our member's house trying to get the right shade of green. He thought he had it one week after reading a mix recipe in a "Trains" magazine. The color came out a creme de minth color, and not the deep hue He was looking for. We told him too go to the shop next time he was up there, and ask what they use for a color. The guy in the shop was the one who bought the paint, and when my friend asked him the color he used on the engines, the shop guy asked, "Which one?" and showed him three different engines with three different hues of green. He said that when they painted the engines, he went to the hardware store and picked up whatever green they had at the time. We teased him for weeks after asking him what green is "Green Moutain Green"?. Have you or Hyce ever seen the movie "The Train"? About the Germans in WWII moving art from. Paris to Germany on a French train. How the French crew out started the Germans was hilarious. Reminded me of the alignment at Hyce's museum.

Warning, she is a beast and is speedy, plus she has a hand valve that you open that allows the brakes to properly pressurize and allow her to have some form of powerful brakes, allowing to stop the rotation of the earth around the axis of the sun. Also, she has no qualms in letting you know whether you have a steep grade or a heavy train by either stalling out or refusing to pull the train unless you split it into more manageable sections if the grade is steeper than 6%. I've seen her stall out on a 6.5% grade with a train of ten flatcars and caboose (waycar) without the snowplow on the front. Add that in and you'd have to drop six cars instead of five and the caboose.

We came back from deployment and found the entire bathroom had turned into an entire poop cave. It turned out that from a combination of failed plumbing and flooding that the entire sewer line from several buildings had stopped up and instead was blasting into our bathroom under pressure, geysering from every drain, toilet, and sink. It did that for almost 4 months. Nobody knew because the building was locked up and everyone was on deployment. It was indescribably unholy.

I know you guys are way ahead in the game compared to the upload schedule. But it would be cool if one of you took the Montezooma to grab cord wood for the smelter with the flat cars for the rails, the other grab the TahoBro to grab the wood for the iron mine, then you two meet at the smelter. Obviously the Tarboro would get there first, so it would grab the iron hopper cars and add them to their train. Then when the Montezooma gets there it drops the cord wood and connects to the TahoBro and one of you then starts towards the iron mine while the other stays at the smelter to switch the cordwood and setup the flat cars with the steel rails. Once the TahoBro/Zooma make it to the helper, then the person switching at the smelter teleports to the helper to hook up the goat and make the push to the iron mine. at the iron mine do the normal switching and loco turnaround, then as one of you is heading back towards the smelter, the other teleports back to the smelter to get a train ready on the siding of the iron rails and empty cordwood cars. Once the TahoBro/Zooma make it back to the smelter, drop off the iron cars, then TahoBro takes the train of rails, and the Zooma takes the empty wood cars from the iron mine back to the depot. It would be a super eventful episode, and it would use almost every industry to its fullest that you're connected to thus far. The only industry that's missing is the logs to the saw mill, but I guess thr Zooma could bring those to the mill the same time it got cordwood, but not sure how much the Zooma can handle that.

However, you can export your cars to Beamng Drive and use it there. Other than that, they are a lot of mechanics games (Car Mechanic Simulator series, Diesel Bros, etc), which are focused on building and rebuilding vehicles, but not designing. Of course you have to do it. All the cars full of wood and the hoppers climbing up the iron ore mine. Then coal mine.

love the episode guys i really want to see what would happen if you had 12-24 cars for rails and how much you would earn from one load i know 24 cars is extremely dangerous being they can derail the entire train but it does get work done faster so maybe you could try two trains with 12 rail cars each(12 x 2 = 24 = big profit)

Imagine if they put the Big Boy in this game. That would truly be a sight to see.
