Buying Used CBR1000RR on Craigslist: Test Ride, Impressions, Review, Honda Liter Bike

Today on Jon's Moto Garage we're bringing the entire family along to pick up a new motorcycle. This is a 2016 Honda CBR1000RR (cbr 1000 rr). I take the bike for a test ride, share my initial impressions, and do a mini review. See behind the scenes what the family is up to while I'm ripping around on this monster liter bike!

hows it compare to the FZ09? I currently ride one and want to get into supersports! i like the FZ09 but want something more stable at higher speeds and highway riding. how comfortable is the bike for longer rides on the highway?

Truthfully I didn't end up putting tons of miles on before selling it. The fz09 i think would be more comfortable on the long rides due to the less aggressive stance. However, once used to the sport bike feel, I think you could pull it off with the right set up. I have more fun on the fz09 with how easy it is to wheelie and the more neutral body position in general. Thanks for checking the channel and commenting! Ride safe!

Great question! I don't know to be honest. Haven't researched into that much. I haven't really compared many of the liter bikes, especially the new/latest models. Now I'm curious to see where they fall. Thanks for checking the channel, bro!

Yeah, I think Honda did a good job on them. Sport bikes have separate high and low beams, so it looks like one of them is out unless you have high beam on. Ride safe, amigo!

I bought it off my co-worker's boyfriend to basically sell it for him cause he didn't want to deal with all the headache. I debated keeping it but I've got the harley that's keeping me busy with the wheelies and repairs. Lol. Eventually I'll get another fz09 and keep it. I really want the gloss black one. Thanks for checking the vid! I had already looked at the bike beforehand and then went inside the bank to verify funds with the seller. At that point I knew I was gonna buy it contingent on the test ride running smooth. I gave him the cash but had left my helmet and gloves in my truck. Didn't think to get the key and title before going to the truck. Stupid move on my part. Lol.

07 for beginning then upgrade to 09 later on

@@KVasiyaRoberts My thoughts exactly. I second this! Also, it depends partially on what you plan to use the bike for. For example, if you're very disciplined and plan to just use it for commuting purposes or the occasional leisurely stroll, the fz09 would be my pick because it feels more solid at higher speeds for longer. But either one will be a blast!
