I'm pleasantly surprised that I'd actually quite like to own both of these blasters! Thank you, Captain - and thank you BuzzBee / Adventure Force.

I own multiple of the rebel mechs and love 'em, both myself and the kid, although I agree the mag release is pretty bad, the kid is left handed and young so it works well for her not having the rev trigger and just the switch and the mag release. Also there are already things on thingiverse for the rebel mech if I can find them again.

Love the colors on the Rebel Mech. It's similar to the old Zombie Strike blue.

My RM was the first Buzzbee product I’d purchased, and I only got it for the 30 round drum. I, too, was pleasantly surprised by the level of performance on 4 AAs.

As soon as you mentioned turning the trigger on the Rebel Mech into a dual-stage trigger, my mind instantly went 'So, a modernized Brute/Auto Tek then... I can dig it!'
@FflawedMetalhead3 жыл бұрын
I love the way the Triggerfire looks, but every shot has a constant, loud buzzy chunk as it fires/rotates (likely the spring vibrating). A bunch of darts were also prone to whirly-birding.

Im intrigued, I havent seen a lot of buzzbee news in some time. I always enjoy seeing other companies trying things and messing around with new or reusing and retweaking rarely used gimmicks and gizmos

If you're not seeing Buzz Bee stuff, you just have to keep looking in the right places! Captain covers them more than most, and there are some certain channels that even make Buzz Bee a focal point...

Great to see the Rebel Mech getting some love-picked up a pair a few months back and was impressed with performance and the drum quality. I also might note that the Rebel Mech magwell seemed to play nice with literally any magazine I tried with it.

Yes, the Rebel Mech's magwell works with other mags. Just don't use the drum from it on Nerf brand stuff. It works, but it's not 100% compatible. The drum on Blasterparts and also sold by OutofDarts is a clone of the drum in blue, but it's perfectly cross-compatible. This is based on my experience. Some people have said it works perfectly in Nerf, but it did not for me.

With the right time and money for it the rebel mech might actually be a good platform for brushless motors.

Yikes, the sound of that TriggerFire tho. Reminds me of kicking one of those springy doorstops.

It sucks that the RPG Darts Video Was Taken Down. I loved the darts concept. But hey some good blasters by buzzbee lol.

Rev trigger would almost put it on par w a spectrum or cornerfire imo. Great video, thank you, Captain.

I’m still relatively new to the hobby, what’s the advantage of a rev trigger over an on-off switch for a flywheel blaster?
@CaptainXavier3 жыл бұрын
Having a rev trigger conserves battery.

Removing/changing mags on the rebel mech is meant to be s 2-handed operation. With your right hand wrap your fingers around the bottom of the blaster so your thumb rests on the mag release button. With your left hand pull the mag out as you press the button. I'm right-handed so this operation seamed natural to me.

Honestly if you could cut down and minimize the Trigger Fire into something a bit more properly one-handed and pistol style whilst retaining the capacity, think it'd make a great "Oh ****!!" blaster even at its current performance, where you just panic-spray darts and run if you're cornered. Edit: And I think I've said this elsewhere, but the modern BuzzBee darts are absolutely terrible. I'd prefer Elites.

At least they're honest with their arranged claims of saying up to 100 or 80' not claiming 100 or 80' is the average distance of each shot.

Seeing the drum makes me wish they were still more commonly available, as someone who only got into NERF recently I can't find them anywhere at thrift stores, might be worth it to pick up a Rebel Mech just for that.
@flippy91213 жыл бұрын
The problem with its drum is that sometimes the blaster or the drum can’t go inside the mag well and it’s sometimes because of the drum it self but it can fit in some other well known nerf guns but sometimes we’ll known nerf guns can’t really take them but it’s kinda worth it to buy the gun just for the drum
@yummehcheezman3 жыл бұрын
theres also a weird bolt action buzzbee blaster i saw a few times at burlington's that came with a 30 round drum
@jpcarsmedia3 жыл бұрын
@@flippy9121 Yeah, I just want a drum that will fit my Nerf Halo Ma50. They just need the drum to hang a bit lower. I don't want to cut the blaster for it to fit. Drums should fit my DZP MK3 and Nerf Stryfe though.
@swolpertinger50043 жыл бұрын
DO NOT BUY just for the drum. The drum I got with my Rebel Mech was not fully compatible. It may go too far up into the magwell of Nerf brand blasters. Also requires a good amount of elbow grease to remove it from other brands. Get the 30 dart drum (blue) from Outofdarts or Blasterparts. It's almost an exact clone, but works on other brands.
@kilijshark76672 жыл бұрын
Waffle head darts are always the best, long distance darts they make are a sick joke. I got the rebel mech mainly for the 30 round drum mag but it’s still a fun blaster

I think that what f up the triggerfire is the stupidly long barrel both decent blasters still
@michaelglover92143 жыл бұрын
Minimize the Trigger Fire... Cut off the hand rest and barrel right down to the drum release, and add pistol grip... I bet with a snub nose it gets better accuracy and is easier to fire one handed.
